Her legs pressed against mine, and I held my breath, wondering what came next.

“Leave their mark…where?” I asked.

And dammit, my cock twitched.

She chuckled, but that didn’t break the dreamy state I felt myself slipping into.

“Oh, we’re far too proper for something crude,” she teased, brushing her hand against my hip.

I gritted my teeth as my shaft swelled.

“No, we unicorns aim for where it counts most.” Her tone was half lullaby, half seductress. “The heart.”

Having my eyes closed meant every other sense piqued, and I imagined my heart swelling into the circle she traced.

“And what exactly do they aim with?” I asked.

She kissed my chest, following the path of her finger, giving nothing away.

“Help,” I finally said. “I’m imagining a unicorn piercing my heart, and it’s not poetic. Just bloody.”

“Well, as a matter of fact…”

When I tensed, she laughed. “Not literally, I mean. Figuratively.”

My brow furrowed as I tried to puzzle that out.

“Shh,” she whispered, pressing me back. “Just relax.”

“Just relax, pierce, and horn don’t go together,” I mumbled, but I did my best to obey.

Bit by bit, sounds and images wandered through my mind. A lush green meadow in summer. The sound of hoofbeats. Two horses — no, unicorns — frolicking in deep grass, rubbing noses and necks…

I had no idea what she was getting at, but it was strangely arousing.

Then again, I’d spent the last seven months locked up in a monastery, so it didn’t take much to accomplish that.

Marian kissed my chest. “Soon. But first…”

The circles she traced spiraled inward, growing smaller until her finger caressed a single spot over my heart.

My pulse raced, and I felt the pressure inside — in a good way. Not so much a unicorn horn piercing my heart like a sword, but rather, pinning my soul to hers. Stitching our lifelines together. Making us one that would never, ever part.

Her touch remained gentle, but I felt something shift within me. My breath grew faster, and I put my hand over hers, praying she wouldn’t stop. Marian’s heart beat harder, too — I could feel it pound against my skin.

Little lightning bolts electrified my heart, and my chest heaved. I felt bigger, stronger. Suspended by a force outside my own.

“Lions bite,” Marian whispered between kisses. “Unicorns bond at the heart.”

And, wow. I could feel it. My body was a blade being engraved with a distinct new pattern.

Her kisses grew longer, deeper, and the tug on my heart increased. With a growly little moan, she straddled me. Then she jammed her hips over mine, all without breaking the kiss.

I kept her palm pressed to my heart with one hand and caressed her breast with the other, my mind in a spin. Then she pressed down, taking me in inch by inch.

If I hadn’t been so breathless, I might have roared. But I could only move my lips in silent ecstasy as she rode me. Harder. Faster. Deeper.

Men talked, and I thought I’d heard it all — all the kinky little tricks, positions, and toys some folks liked to use. But, hell. I’d never imagined anything more erotic than what her finger and body were doing to me now.
