“Nah man, I’m totally hot for his Momma,” he laughed. “She is afuckin’angel, that ain’t no lie.”

“Well, praise the Lord,” Seer suddenly chimed in, his presence loosening the knots in Bishop’s stomach.

“Amen,” Hurricane added.

“So, we bringing the wives to this Vicki party?” Bullets asked.

“Not this time. Other than mine, she was specifically requested.”

“You sound thrilled,” Bart chuckled.

“I haven’t told her a damn thing yet about any of this. She’s had her nose in marriage class notes and I like it there just fine.”

“What they want her for?” Nitro wondered. “Hey Lesion, I need to talk to you when you can.”

“I have no idea what they want her for,” Bishop muttered, seeing everybody was there. “Anybody gotanythingfor me?”

“We do,” Jek said.

“You want it now or later?” Bart offered.

“Now.”

“Well, we teamed up with 8-Bit and he got his fancy computers working round the clock to pull in real-time news—sorting it and shit. Tell ‘em giga-chad,” Bart said.

“Well,” 8-Bit began. “With the help of Big G and Al, we’ve developed what we call the Marsh Matrix.”

“Big G and Al?”

“Yeah, the agreement was I’d see them in a year, but this was an emergency, so, I may have hacked into their secret hiding place and requested they return sooner.”

More relief hit Bishop. “Thank you, brother.” He was also thrilled for that happy grin Ethan wore, remembering how much those two meant to him. “Tell me all about this Marsh Matrix.”

“It’s not ready yet but the conceptualization and design was completed in a matter of six hours thanks to the advanced intelligence and processing speeds of Big G and Al. We’re currently nearing the end of programming it, using advanced machine learning algorithms that generate and test code automatically. Once that’s done, we’re looking at one to three days for training the program. Another two to four days for testing it in virtual environments and a final day for deployment.”

“Holy fuck,” Bishop muttered. “So you’re saying we’ll have eyes where we need them in around seven days?”

“You’ll have eyes all over theworldwithin seven days, my brother.”

The intercom filled with triumphant barks and howls of praise and Bishop sure let them give it, he deserved every bit. “Everybody can get on their damn knees tonight and thank God for our genius brother.”

“Meanwhile, the Swamp Snoopers have been doing the DDD. Down and dirty digging.”

“The Swamp Snoopers?” Bishop wondered.

“Our official business name,” Zep said. “I came up with it after we hired on eight more to help with the data monitoring.”

“Nice,” Bishop said, loving it. “And what you find in the DDD?”

“Well, as per Big G’s suggestion, we divided up our news search in the same way the program will once it’s up and running. Right now, we’ve got twelve of us gathering intel on…hold on, got my handy dandy notebook right here.”

Everybody waited as book smacking and page flipping filled the silence.

“Here we are. So we got Danny Boone on Polly-tics, Larry Boudreaux on International Affairs, Menard Thibodeaux is on Local and Community News.”

“Lil’ Menard Thibodeaux?” Bishop wondered.

“That’s the one. Little shit is nineteen now, can you believe?”
