“What’s your major?”

“Chemistry.”

“Following in your father’s footsteps all the way.”

“I believe science comes natural to our family.” His blue eyes twinkled. He had strong chiseled features like Ethan. Garth looked like a younger version of Ethan. I was sure he couldn’t keep the ladies off him.

I smile with admiration. “Claire, what school do you attend?”

“I chose Harvard because I wanted to break from tradition.” Claire’s face lit up.

Her mother patted her slender shoulder in the spaghetti-strap silver gown hugging her slim frame.

“She’s a strong-willed woman,” Mrs. Daniels doted, batting her long false eyelashes.

“She double majored in chemistry and engineering. Like her father.”

“Yes, I’m currently working on my master’s, then I will go on to obtain my PHD.” Her blonde tresses hung loosely around her shoulders, cascading down her back. She was a beauty, too. This family had great genes.

“Impressive, Claire! Do you have any inventions you are considering putting into production? My strong suit is marketing. If you ever need to promote a product, let me know.” I retrieved a card from my gold clutch, placing it in Claire’s hand.

Her smile brightened the room. Claire’s arms flew around my neck. “Thank you. This may be the push I needed to launch my secret invention.”

She stepped back. “You will most definitely hear from me soon.”

Ethan’s father kissed the side of Claire’s head. “See Malaysia, I knew it was a great idea having you here with us tonight.”

I smiled. “Thank you, Dr. Daniels.”
