“Use my personal gym in the condo. We will stop by the locker room. I’ll give you the key. It’s the last door on the right upon entering. Down the hall from the guest bedroom. I like to work out in private. Leave the key at the front desk.”

“Great thanks.”

“It’s not a problem.”

We exited the elevator. I followed Ethan down a long hallway, turning into a lounge. Doctors sat eating their lunches, talking amongst themselves.

“Have a seat.”

Ethan washed his hands at a nearby sink, then sat across the table. He tore into one of the sandwiches.

“Ethan, you can’t go without eating for hours at a time. You know it’s not healthy.”

“Thanks, Dr. Newton.”

“Happy you find it funny.” I chuckled.

“Did you eat?”

I fidgeted. “No.”

“Would you like one of the sandwiches?”

I turned my nose up. “No, thank you.” I hate sprouts.

Next time we’ll eat lunch together.”

The room fell silent. And several gazes landed on me. I had a feeling he didn’t bring women to his job.

I chose the silent route. I didn’t want to argue with him.
