“There were no fingerprints or hairs in the van. The van also didn’t have a valid license plate. These people were very clever about this. They made sure that they didn’t leave any evidence behind,” said the other detective.

“I’m not surprised,” said Kiro. Petty thieves and small-time criminals wouldn’t dare go after the crown prince. It would have to be some influential person with something to gain. They would need to know how to cover their tracks.

“We’ll keep looking and we will inform you if we find something.”

“Okay, please do,” said Kiro.

It was around 5 p.m. Saturday when Kiro started getting ready for the charity gala. He wore a black tuxedo with a silk lining, a crisp white shirt and a black bow tie. He put on black shoes and then headed downstairs. His maids stared at him lustfully. They whispered how good he looked among themselves.

Kiro headed out of the house. His driver opened the car door for Kiro as he approached. Kiro got in and sat in the backseat. They drove off and headed to the venue where the charity event was being held. The charity event was to raise money for cancer. Kiro attended every year and always donated.

When Kiro arrived at the venue, he got out of the car and headed inside. The room was already filled with guests. He scanned the room for Emma and he couldn’t see her. One of the guests approached him and greeted him.

“Sheikh Besada, it’s good to see you,” he said.

“Likewise, Mr. Lee,” Kiro replied. Mr. Lee was a businessman. He had no business with Kiro. However, they often met at charity events, galas and horse races. They ran in the same circles.

As Kiro was talking to Mr. Lee, he turned his head towards the entrance of the venue and saw Emma walking in. She was wearing a navy-blue, high-neck, backless fishtail dress that complemented her figure. Her hair was pinned up into a high bun. She stood at the entrance scanning the room. When she saw Kiro, she smiled and immediately walked towards him. She looked absolutely gorgeous.

“Sheikh Besada?” Mr. Lee said to him.

“Sorry, I didn’t hear what you said,” Kiro replied. He had been too busy staring at Emma to hear what Mr. Lee was saying to him.
