“What have you done to my brother?” Kasper asks.

“I’m not sure what happened,” I say.

“Pasha’s a great kisser,” Owen says.

Ryn’s face turns bright red as an angry scowl appears on his face. “She had no choice but to kiss you,” he spits.

“Chill your seashells. Owen’s trying to get a rise out of you.”

“You and your brother are the same. Do you think it’s okay to go after mer that don’t belong to you?”

“Hey, guys. Now is not the time to argue. Owen’s not interested in me, but we shared a kiss good enough to give me my name. Stop being jealous. There’s no reason to be.”

When we reach Atlantis, there’s a blue glow over the city. It stops the arguments and silence falls over us.

“It looks like the battle has already begun,” Ryn says.

“So, what are we waiting for?” Owen asks, pushing forward.

“For Maris,” Kasper says, raising his fist triumphantly.

It’s time to storm the city and take back what’s ours. My legacy might be one of conflict, but I know what’s right. Cyrus is the true king, and my father should be outcast from the mer world. I’m going to help put things right, even if it means getting a job at the shell factory.
