One viral blog. One carefully guarded secret. One fake dating arrangement that’s about to become very, very real.
Benny De Carlo’s anonymous blog went viral. Readers are obsessed. And they all want the same thing: for him to finally confess who “Guy” is—the unnamed mystery first love at the heart of every post. There’s just one problem: Benny ain’t telling them. Not even for the book deal that hinges on him writing up a happy ending.
Enter Jack Knox, the bartender who accidentally discovered who Guy really is. Which means he’s the only one who can pretend to be Guy to help keep Benny’s secret…and get some of the fame to help his struggling family bar.
All they have to do? Pretend to be a happy couple. Or, at least, fake it.
But when their small town tries to make them the stars of the annual Sailors and Mermaids Festival, the fake couple realizes there’s a major plot hole in their story.
Falling in actual love was never in the script. And, as their act starts to become very real, the two opposites discover that some of the best truths can be served on a plate of delicious little lies.
