“My whole life.”

“Oh yes, my baby girl was a champion rider, always winning all those equestrian trophies every year since she was five.” My dad announced, walking up next to me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.

I leaned over and kissed his cheek. “I'm going to go get settled in my room and rest for a bit, I'm beat after everything.” I looked over at Vance and Brice, watching them as they took in all the beauty my parents mansion had to offer. “What rooms do you want Vance and Brice to stay in, Momma?”

“Have them take the two rooms on either side of yours, that way I know you’ll sleep better knowing they are there to protect you if needed.

“Protect her from what?” My father scoffed at the idea. “I protect her. There's no way any man could make it through the front door of this house alive with all the weapons and men I have guarding it.”

“I just want her to feel safe after everything she's been through, Constanzo.” My mother cooed, leaning on his shoulder, causing him to melt and give my mother what she wanted.

He took her hand in his, kissing it. I loved seeing he could still make Momma blush like a school girl. “Of course my love, whatever you wish.”

“We’ll take everything upstairs and help her get settled in.” Brice assured them, causing a knowing look from my mother once again. She definitely wasn’t going to let this go anytime soon.

“Thank you again for saving my baby girl and bringing her back to us. I know I haven't shown you much gratitude, but I assure you that I am incredibly grateful for her safe return and am honored to have you as guests in my home. Anything you need you just let me know,” my father said, shaking both of their hands.

“You’re welcome, Mr. Marchetti.” Vance answered as him and Brice shook his hand before gently guiding me up the stairs under the watchful eyes of my parents and the cold glare of Vitale, who just entered the living room.
