After getting everything settled, I headed to Vance's office. Rounding the corner, I see his secretary, Tina, who'd been with us since the beginning. “Hey T, how's it going this morning?”
“Very good. How was your weekend?” She asked.
“Frustrating. Very, very frustrating.” I answered.
Getting a pensive look on her face, she smirked up at me. “Hmm that's interestingly peculiar.”
“What is?” I asked with my arms crossed over my chest, knowing that with T, she never held back on her opinions.
“I got that same answer from Vance this morning. Anything, or anyone you care to tell me about?”
“Nothing I can think of.”
“Mm hmm, go ahead and go in. I'll let you slide this time since I know Vance is waiting for you.” She grinned, eyeing me suspiciously.
“Thanks for the pass, T.” I chuckled, entering Vance's office.
Closing the door behind me, Vance asked. “Did she grill you, too, with her questions and those suspicious eyes of hers?”
“Oh yeah, she knows us way too well,” I laughed.
“That she does. It can be both a blessing and a curse.” Vance got out before Kelan came in, interrupting us.
“So I finally might have something on your girl. But I don't think either one of you are going to like it one damn bit.”
