“Angel, you are my world.” Finn dusts my lips with his, then Finn stands and offers me his hand.

Love swirls through me. Tears pour down my face.

“We’ve got you,” Knox, Finn and Lachlan say after each other.

“I love you too. All of you.”

Give up my dream of having roots for the first time in my life.

What am I going to do?

Chapter Twenty-Two

THREE MONTHS LATER

“I can’t believe my sweet baby girl is getting married.” My mother sniffs and runs her hand down my hair, styled in a loose bun with wispy ringlets framing my face.

“Me either, Momma.” I sniff, my eyes filling with tears.

“Oh, no you don’t.” Darcie places a tissue under my eyes. “Your makeup isn’t going to run on my watch.”

I smile at my friend, who has become a large part of my life since my permanent move to Edinburgh. In the six months I’ve been here, I’ve learned so much about myself, and the three men I love and adore.

Darcie now fluffs my train and grins at me. Both my bridesmaids, my cousin Savannah and Darcie, look gorgeous in champagne cocktail dresses with matching shoes, their lips lined in bold red. Savannah’s blonde hair spirals down her back. Darcie’s dark red hair is in a twisty knot.

“Thank you both for being here. It means the world to me.”

My lips wobble, and I turn it into a grin. I’m way more emotional lately. I place my hand on my still flat stomach. No one knows yet. I’ve decided to tell them after the wedding. There’s been so much going on. I wanted to concentrate on us until after the wedding. By my calculation, I’m about ten weeks along.

I turn and give myself a once-over.

Not too bad. Not too bad at all.

An off-the-shoulder white silk dress hugs my curves and drops to my feet which are in nude stilettos. I reckon I’ve got about an hour before my feet will burn. I also know that with one twinge, Lachlan will have the shoes off under the table, ease my aching feet into his lap and render me useless with a foot massage, but not until after I’ve danced awkwardly with Knox, who insists he is only dancing with me because it’s our wedding day.

Finn will have me laughing and dancing on air, dancing with his bride on his wedding day.

Lachlan will gather me close and slow dance to something soppy that I will instantly love and add to my playlist.

Yes, I’m getting married today to three men. Technically, I’m marrying only one according to marriage laws, but we are an unbreakable bond in our hearts.

Darcie fusses with my dress.

“Thank you,” I whisper. “I couldn’t do this without you.”

Her lilac eyes sparkle. “You are one lucky woman.” She hands me my bouquet. White Baby’s Breath for everlasting love. Iris for faith, trust, wisdom, hope and valor, and Gardenia for secret love. The bouquet is wrapped in thick twine.

That sums up our relationship.

Mom loves all three of my men, and has taken over the kitchen today along with Fiona who has cooked up a storm. Pecan-peach pie for dessert. Finn’s favorite Roly Poly is for us only. Dad and my brother, Colt, are manning the barbecue and serving up Texas-style ribs, brisket and wings. Something I’ve been hankerin’ for since I got here.

Dad walks into the room looking super silver fox in a black tuxedo.

“My Georgia Peach, are you ready?” His dark eyes sparkle.

Dad has given me a few odd glances in the week they’ve been here, but has said nothing. I’m proud of my relationship with Finn, Lachlan and Knox. Proud that we love each other as fiercely as we do. I will kill for these men, and they for me.

Colt materializes at my side and asks for a few minutes.
