“I will be in here with her the entire time. I won’t leave her alone. I promise” Iris says walking up to Issac turning him towards her.

He sighs and nods. He turns and walks over to my bed and leans down, kissing my head. “I’ll go get us something to eat. I love you” he whispers. Before I can say anything back, he turns and leaves.

“Hello, Delilah. I’m detective Walker and this is detective Asher,” the taller one of the men says. He’s on the younger side, while the other look to be in his let forties.

“We would like to ask you if you could tell us what happened that night,” detective Asher says pulling out a notepad.

I look at Iris. She smiles and sits down on the bed beside me and grabs my hand, holding it tight.

“We understand this is going to be hard. But this will help your case against Isaiah and whoever was involved in this,” detective Walker explains. I take a deep breath and nod.

“Okay, let’s start from the beginning. Where were you on the night of the attack?” Asher asks.

“I was at the clubhouse,” I answer.

“With whom?” Walker speaks. My eyes dart back and forth between the two as I answer their questions.

“The club guys and Doll,”

“Where was Issac?”

“He left,”

“To go where?” Walker asks, sitting down in the chair next to my bed. Holy fucking twenty-one questions.

“I know you might think these are stupid irrelevant questions, but it helps us build a picture of what your night was like and the buildup,”

I nod and sigh. “I honestly don’t know. He took Nathan, Nathan Swan. He’s an officer for the town. He took him somewhere called Reaper Hill.”

Iris adjusts herself on the bed and clears her throat. The detectives look over at her. “Do you know what Reaper Hill is, Dr. Raven?” Asher questions her, tilting his head.

“Um, I do. It’s at my family’s house,” she replies.

“What is it specifically” Asher questions her again.

“Um, it’s a graveyard for fallen club members that don’t have families, or families that couldn’t afford a plot in a cemetery or anyone to go home to,” she answers, keeping her head down.

“Why did you avoid the question at first?” Walker questions her this time.

“Because we don’t have the legal paperwork stating we could have one. So, we kept under wraps. Only the member knew and certain families,”

“I see” Walker says. He glances over at Asher and they both nod.

“We’ll keep that out of the report,” Walker says. “We will also skip the Issac part. Now, can you tell me what happened later that night?” he asks me.

“The guys ended up leaving because they got a phone call saying Issac was in trouble,”

“Who got the phone call?” Asher questions. I try to think back and remember.

“I-I don’t remember,”

Asher nods, writing something down in his notepad. “Okay, then what happened?”

“Then it was just Doll and I. We we’re cleaning up and then Doll told me to hide,”

“Why?”

“Because she says Isaiah pulling into the clubhouse,” I answer, and then my memories coming crashing in.
