“I ain’t your Treasure anymore?” She pouted, putting her leg down.

I took the back of her neck, wanting to kiss her. “You are,” I said, my face so close to hers.

“I’ll tell you everything,” she said, moving her body even closer to me. Her nude form cradled into me. “But let’s forget about it for tonight. Let me show you how much I need you.”

Apparently, Maren was of the same mind as me. She wanted to fuck all night. I could feel her breath on my neck as she leaned in, her lips hovering over my flesh as her hand snaked down into my pants. Her fingers teased me as she tried to get them around my dick.

A knock on the door interrupted us.

Fuck.

What now?

Chapter 10

Treasure

My fingers wrapped around the monster growing in Levi’s pants just as a knock sounded.

Letting go of him quickly, I pulled the sheet over my naked body, fearing the worst. Maybe I shouldn’t have trusted Gimp.

“Fuck,” Levi said, getting up.

That was exactly what I wanted to do.

Fuck.

I didn’t want to think about all the shit he spoke of. About my so-called past. My secrets. I had controlled myself tonight when I could have blown a bigger hole in Poison. I could have killed her. Maybe I should have shot her BBL off. That would show her. Give her her flat ass back. Hell yeah, the fact Levi fucked her the moment he got to Galveston still miffed me.

On my pool table, in the ass. My mind needed to be bleached.

The action and danger of the evening had provided the rush I craved, even though I hadn’t been seeking it out. I wouldn’t tell Levi I was now on a low dose anti-psychotic that was keeping me sane. With all my years of being on the run, of being thought of as the crazy girl who sees ghosts, aka Spooky, in my motorcycle club before now, I had never tried anything to help. I only did it now for the baby that grew inside me. And because the biker life provided me with protections that being in the traveling circus did not. I could go to the doctor without someone turning me into the authorities that sought me. No one wanted to turn in a member of an outlaw gang such as ours.

No one wanted to die.

Being pregnant, I certainly couldn’t risk my life like I always wanted to and risk my unborn child in the process. The file Levi flung at me was full of the fallout from that life.

Now he came at me with a box of pizza. Two of them. Good, I was starved. His eyes lit up and his eyebrows danced as he opened the first box. And I knew the big biker ate enough to feed a small army. I would be lucky if I got a couple of slices.

The cheap motel room had no chairs. We sat sideways on the bed with the boxes between us. He remembered I liked green olives and pepperoni. Now, I didn’t just like it. I craved it. Also, between us, silence. But as I chewed and swallowed, silence was welcome. Levi went to his luggage and got the whiskey. He drank it from the bottle and offered me some before he caught himself.

“You’ve not been drinking, have you?”

Look at him, all concerned. “No. Of course not. That’s why I had to tell Poison. She agreed to help me keep it under wraps by finishing my drinks at the bar.”

“But I saw you order a Margarita.”

“Lethal, another member knows too. She works at the Salty Pelican and knows to make it a virgin.”

“Oh, I’ve got you. I also have coke.”

“That’ll do,” I said and took the can.

My mind was much clearer now that my stomach was getting full. I took another bite of my pizza and munched thoughtfully. “I’m sorry, I didn’t tell you sooner. About the baby.”

“When did you have time? When I stuck my gun in you or when forced myself on you?”

“Levi.” I reached out, touching his arm. “You didn’t. I wanted that. Believe me.” Richard had been a poor substitute.
