Polly’s voice came to her. “Go for a walk.”
Olly blinked. “Um, would you like to go for a walk?”
He nodded and got to his feet. Nari whisked past her with his shoes and giggled. “We need to go this way.”
He nodded. “My name is Benjiro, by the way.”
“I would introduce myself, but everyone seems to know who I am.”
They walked to the door to the rear deck, and he sat and put on his shoes while she stepped into some sandals. He held her hand and said, “To the pool?”
“I just came here today. I haven’t gotten a tour yet.”
He nodded. “I have been here before, so allow me to show you around.”
She liked him. He was so very calm and had the same body type as Feng. They walked slowly to the gazebo over the still pool, and she was smiling. She hadn’t smiled genuinely for years. Not if she wasn’t with Polly.
Olly was flustered. Her body was relaxed just by being with him. He smiled at her benignly.
She swallowed. “So, what are you looking for in a mate?”
He looked at her. “Well, you don’t look at my size and freak out, so that is a bonus. You look lovely in a kimono and wear it well. Minoru mentioned that you were an MMA fighter and that you are good with horses. My family has horses on our property. I own a construction company. I have two siblings, both betas, and we get together for family stuff about once a month.”
She smiled. “Sounds fun. With the exception of Polly, I don’t get along with my family.”
“Well, you are twins.”
“We are.” She smiled.
“May I see the mark that calls to Feng’s dragon?”
“Not with this obi. It’s tight.” She was apologetic.
He inclined his head. “Perhaps later.”
“Sure.”
He smiled. “No issue with disrobing?”
“To a limit. I used to work in a sports bra and shorts.”
“I would have expected more muscle on you.”
“I had to retire. The gossip made things awkward, and my performance sank.”
“Right. The rumours that led to attacks.”
“Yup.”
“You had no experience prior to Feng?”
She shook her head. “Not even a first kiss.”
He paused and titled his head. “May I?”
“Just a kiss?”
“Just a kiss.”
