Feng chuckled. “Our family was delighted that we had more representation than Grigory’s. We made the most of it. Also, they were celebrating an engagement. They are looking forward to the wedding.”

She paused. “Oh, shit.”

He laughed under her. “You forgot there would be a wedding?”

“Kinda.” She held up her hand. “It’s pretty. I thought this was it.”

“There is more. Minoru is offering his hotel and the gardens for it. There is an opening in six weeks.”

“I can’t get a wedding dress in six weeks. Well, I guess I can, but it will be tricky.”

Taio smiled. “The Russians have offered their services.”

“When? Who the fuck was talking to them?”

“Well, Grigory bet a lot of money on Feng. So, he won a lot of money. A wedding dress barely touches it.”

She suspected that Delun was contributing.

Feng stroked her belly. Her stomach rumbled angrily.

Taio laughed. “You weren’t kidding.”

“I was not.”

He leaned down and kissed her breasts again before he levered himself away from her.

She looked up at Feng. “Now you.”

He chuckled and stood up with her in his arms.

She took stock and chuckled. “I need a shower.”

“We will take a quick one and then fortify you. We have plans to make.”

She laughed, showered, then got dressed in one of the outfits Benjiro had selected. Loose trousers and a wrap top in a pretty periwinkle made for a comfortable breakfast.

Olly smiled and ate her breakfast.

Feng smiled, “Did you have fun last night?”

“Yes, it was a lot of fun. Your grandma kept her distance, so things were good.”

“Things will get better. She will come around.”

“You think so?”

“Yeah, my grandmother has always been close to me. She had a plan that never panned out. I am delighted with the result.” He lifted her hand and kissed her knuckles.

She smiled and finished her fruit salad and scrambled eggs. The decaf coffee was her favourite thing.

Once she finished, Taio did the dishes, and she went for a walk to check on the progress of the confidence course. After that, she walked to the horse stables and watched the graceful beasts exercised and put through their paces.

It was a soothing way to spend the morning and let her walk out the ache in her thighs from the night before.

Chapter Nine

Olly had just finished brushing down one of the pregnant mares when she saw a familiar silhouette. She tensed and washed up before heading into daylight, ignoring the small female and two males.
