“Do you want me to head-butt you?” She cocked her head.

The car stopped, and Feng sighed. “I end up with a mouthy mate who can hit like a hammer.”

“Aw, that is the sweetest thing you have said to me.”

He frowned. “Is it?” He opened the door and then paused.

“Yeah. I think you said I smelled right, but that is the nicest thing.” She pushed him to get him out, but he looked at her. “What?”

“I will try and do better. I have not been particularly kind toward you.”

“Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Let’s get this over with.” She huffed. Two angry Chinese women were glaring at the car. “Your aunts look like they want to tear my face off.”

He sighed and got out of the car, leaving her scootching to the edge of the seat. Benjiro reached for her hand and helped her up. He pulled her against him and murmured, “He’s still getting used to you, but I think you hit him really hard.”

She giggled and leaned against him.

The giggle made Feng turn around, and he looked at the car and sighed. He closed the car door and sighed. “I will do better starting now.”

He offered her his hand, and she held his hand as he led her to meet his aunties. They were ushered into the shop, Taio was given a cookie as Feng’s pet, Olly was put on a dais, and the measurements commenced.

A curtain was pulled so that she wasn’t visible from the shop, and she was stripped.

The aunties paused and gasped. Hua said, “It’s moving?”

“Oh, the mark. Yeah. They noticed that at the kimono shop.”

The ladies muttered.

Olly sighed. “As fun as this is, I am getting cold.”

“What is your underwear like?” Jing asked. “We need to know how deep cleavage you are comfortable with.”

“Sports bras are most of my collection of three.” She bent and slipped the robe back on. Tying it into place.

Hua came around and stared at her. “What?”

“All my clothes fit into a backpack, and that includes one dress and heels.”

One of the shop assistants brought tea, and Hua asked her to sit while Jing took her clipboard and moved around the shop.

“We have some stuff for omegas, but we don’t have a beta like you in the family.”

“Yeah, well, I am just a beta, so not technically in the family. Don’t worry. I know where I stand.”

Feng growled. “You know that I can hear you through the curtain.”

She blinked. “I, uh, forgot. Hua, I am very pleased that your family has taken me under your wing.”

Feng whipped the curtain back and looked at her. “I am guessing that Auntie Hua is the only one who hasn’t checked her phone.”

His aunt got her phone out, frowned, then flicked, and then flicked again. “What is your relationship to Minoru?”

“Minoru is my brother-in-law. He’s married to my twin sister, Polly.” She plucked the kimono. “That’s where I got this. I went to their place before the guys got organized.”

“So, you were at the wedding where Delun and his sloth were?”

“Polly’s wedding? Yeah. That is where Feng and I... bumped into each other.” She muttered.
