“Fine, Jamie, please, make me come. Please!”

His fingers moved immediately, slipping over the aching bud at the top of my slit before two thick fingers delved into me.

I was wet, embarrassingly so, and his fingers slipped into my body just as the palm of his hand grinded perfectly against my clit. That coupled with the solid, powerful weight surrounding me from behind, and I was flying off the release, begging and crying out his name as wave after wave of pleasure overwhelmed me.

Jamie stayed with me through it all, his fingers thick inside me, thrusting as his hips pushed into me from behind. As the pleasure slowly released its hold on me, I was able to recognize the harsh breathing from both of us and the insane situation I found myself in.

I glanced down at my fingers, where my fingernails had dug into the wooden countertop. Carefully, I loosened my muscles, trying to recenter myself as Jamie too seemed to try to gather himself.

“Easy, little one. No running,” he murmured, his voice rich with humor as I started to struggle, forgetting about the hand that was still firmly clenched between my thighs.

My cheeks must’ve been flushed, as I spread my knees, letting Jamie’s hand slip from my heat. Turning immediately, I found myself staring right tup into his face when he raised his hand to his lips and sucked on the fingers that had just been inside me.

His eyes slid shut, pure bliss on his face. “Heaven, little one. You taste like heaven.” He stepped closer to press his lips to my forehead, folding me up into his muscular bulk. “I bet you feel like heaven too.”

I blinked, every muscle in my body still relaxed, sagging into the unbelievable comfort that was being in Jamie Calvin’s arms.

“What a date,” I mumbled.

Jamie chuckled, the deep rumble vibrating under my cheek. “You haven’t seen anything yet. This is just the beginning.”

I closed my eyes, breathing in the scent of Jamie himself, clean laundry, and citrus. If this was just the beginning, I wasn't sure I was ready for what was next.

But that sure as hell wasn’t stopping me from finding out what it was.

Chapter 5

Jamie

“Hey Declan, you’re on mute again.”

“—it, why is this so complicated?”

“It’s only complicated if you try to do it while holding your infant.”

Silence fell, and then Declan weakly protested that that wasn’t the case.

I raised an eyebrow at Sam, who sat perched across the stupidly large conference table. He grinned at me. “Fine. Turn on your camera, then,” I said to my friend. “We all want to say hi.”

There was a ragged curse on the other end of the line, and then Declan’s tired but happy face filled the screen. Sitting in the crook of one of his arms, curled in some kind of fluffy pink blanket, was his three-month-old daughter, Irena.

“You look a bit tired Windham. Still ready for another one?” I teased, surprised by the tightness in my throat. My fists clenched as I swallowed back the sharp edge of jealousy.

Declan smiled down at his bundle. “Absolutely. Just don’t tell Hannah. She’ll have my balls for breakfast.”

“Language, Daddy!” Sam said with a grin. “Can’t have you talking like that around the kids.”

Declan rolled his eyes, settling back in a recliner that I recognized as one in his downtown apartment. “Just you wait. Once you and Stephanie start, you’ll be holding them any chance you can get too.”

“Oh, we aren’t blaming you. Just having a little fun. Did you want to chat about that brewery client that made its way to us?”

“Not yet. I’d like to meet with them in person first. Could be a significant player in a few years. We should get in early.”

“Agreed. I’ll set something up,” Sam said, jotting a note down on the notepad in front of him.

“How are you and Stephanie?” I fidget with my phone’s charging cable, a strange sort of irritation swirling in my gut.
