“Yes.” I smiled.

Isabella clapped before pulling the dress off the hanger, when she turned, she bumped into Skylar. The changing room was small and there were a lot of people in it.

“Why don’t Marissa and I wait with the girls outside.” She grabbed Luna’s hand.

“Good idea. We’ll see you out there. Say, bye to Chy Chy.”

“Bye Chy Chy,” Lia waved.

“Bye Lia.” I smiled as Marissa followed Skylar outside and all I was thinking about was what an amazing big sister she was going to be.

As I slipped off my robe and stepped into my dress, I did a double-check of my belly, making sure that there was no visible pouch. Thankfully, there was not.

Not that I was concerned about gaining the weight of the pregnancy. I wasn’t at all. I just didn’t want people to know that this was a shotgun wedding.

I smiled to myself as Isabella zipped the dress up. I stared at my reflection. My hair was falling down around my shoulders, I had minimal makeup on and I was glowing. I wasn’t sure if it was because of the pregnancy hormones or the dewy glow primer that Nadia insisted I use, but either way, it was working.

Colleen stepped up next to me, staring at me in the mirror. I knew that there were still moments when she looked at me and saw my mother. This was one of the times I couldn’t blame her since I was wearing my mother’s wedding dress.

I’d gone dress shopping four times and hadn’t been able to find anything I liked. Then Hank showed up on my doorstep with this dress. He said that he’d been looking for it and wasn’t sure he’d be able to find it, but he had. It was my mother’s dress. It meant so much to me that he’d taken the time to search for it and given it to me to wear. He still didn’t talk a lot, but I knew he’d always be there if I needed him.

As soon as I’d seen it, I’d fallen in love. It was exactly what I was looking for. A simple, backless, spaghetti strap, lace dress. And when I’d tried it on, it fit like it had been tailored for me. I hadn’t even needed any alterations.

It dawned on me as I stared at my reflection that I was wearing my mom’s wedding dress the same day that I found out I was going to be a mom.

“You look…so beautiful.” Colleen smiled at me through the reflection in the mirror and pointed to my dress and shoes. “I know that you have something old, something new, but I was wondering if you’d like something blue?” She opened up a tiny jewelry box that had brilliant sapphire and diamond teardrop earrings in them. “These were my great-grandmother’s earrings. I lent them to your mother the day that she got married because they reminded me of her eyes.”

I’d kept my jewelry simple. I was only wearing my engagement ring and the firefly necklace that Hank had given me, which I never took off. The earrings matched the stone in the firefly.

“They are gorgeous.” They were the most beautiful earrings I’d ever seen. I reached out to touch them and felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when Richard Gere shows her the borrowed necklace. “Thank you, these can be my borrowed, too.”

“No, they can’t.” Colleen covered my hand with her own, cupping it tightly. “Because they are my gift to you.”

“No. They were your great-grandmother’s.” I shook my head.

“And now, you are my daughter.” Moisture filled her eyes and mine were right behind her. Two tears slid down my cheeks.

“No, no, no. No one is ruining their makeup.” Reagan handed Colleen and I tissues.

“Thank you,” I hugged Colleen tightly.

There was a knock on the door and Isabella perked up. “It’s time.”

I nodded as Colleen helped me put the earrings on. She gave me one more hug. “See you out there!”

I walked out of the tiny changing room and two men were waiting to walk me down the aisle which happened to be made of sand because we were getting married on the beach. Billy and my father. I hadn’t been able to decide who I wanted to walk me down the aisle, I’d been torturing myself over making a decision when Cash suggested that I have both of them do it.

I’d asked if I could do that, and he’d told me I could do anything I want. It was my day. That was what being with Cash made me feel like. Like anything was possible.

“You look beautiful.” My dad commented.

“Really beautiful,” Billy added.

“Thanks.” I sniffed and felt Reagan push another tissue in my hand.

“Cry after the pictures.”

I chuckled and took my place standing between my father and Billy. When I’d imagined this day when I was a little girl, I’d known that I wasn’t going to ask my grandfather to give me away. We’d never had that sort of relationship. Now, I couldn’t imagine it being any other way.
