“That I couldn’t make out. But one thing I heard clear as day was Logan’s name.” her lips curl into a smile.

“Speaking of Logan.” Jade’s eyes swung my way. “Are we going to talk about what happened last night after you left the club?”

Breathing through my nose, I let out a sigh. “What about it?”

“Something tells me I’m missing out on juicy details.”

Exchanging a look with Taylor, I swear I went scarlet red as she presses her lips together. It wasn’t my intention to share any details, but I knew they wouldn’t make it easy on me if I didn’t share something. Especially since Taylor caught Logan leaving the room on her way in.

Bringing her cup towards her lips, Jade jumps back when the hot brew burns them.“Spill the deets.”

Starting from the moment I ran out of the club to the confession about the kiss and the events that brought us back to the room, I had the girls swooning. “Let’s just say once we started kissing, it quickly turned into more.” I tucked my lip between my teeth. “And ladies, those strong arms and firm hands don’t disappoint.”

“Girl,” Jade hollers, grinding on her spot on the bed.

“But he put a stop to it.”

Jade stops abruptly. “No. Why?”

“He felt like we had too much to drink at the club and didn’t want to take advantage of me.”

Taylor’s red lips curl into a smile. “That’s a gentleman right there,” she pointed out, cradling her cup of coffee.

Shrugging in agreement, Jade rolls her eyes. “Fine. I can’t fault him for that, but damn.”

“Are you seeing him today?” Taylor asks, running her brush through her wet hair.

“We didn’t make any plans, but I’m sure we’ll bump into each other,” I said, bringing my coffee to my lips.

“So, what do you guys think about Seth?” Jade asks, eyeing us over her cup.

Pulling my lips into a smirk, Taylor dropped onto the mattress beside me. “What about him?” She teases. “Does Jade have a thing for him?”

Pursing her lips together, Jade couldn’t hide her attraction. “Would that be so bad?” Her brow rose in question.

Taylor and I exchange a look. Looking back at Jade with a grin.

“Did the two of you kick it off after I left?” I ask, fishing for details of my own.

“We might have,” Jade said, raising her shoulder in embarrassment.

“That’s great. What about you, Taylor? Did you and Bradly finally have a conversation?”

“He’s not so bad,” she mumbles under her breath.

“Wait, so what happened to Jeremiah?”

Jade rolls her eyes. “He’s too flirty, and every girl draws his eye,” she said, but it sounded more like a whine.

“I’m sorry, hun,” I said, placing my hand on her knee.

“It’s alright,” she says, pushing up from the mattress. “I wasn’t expecting anything from him, anyway.”

“Seth’s better looking anyway,” I threw out there.

“And a doctor,” Taylor adds, bringing Jade comfort.

“Right,” Jade beams. “Wait until my mother finds out. She’ll be planning my wedding the moment the words come out of my mouth.”
