“I got caught up on my coffee run,” he replied, slipping his phone into his pocket.

“Caught up huh?” I asked, slipping my own phone back into my pocket. “Caught up with a certain redhead?” I teased, washing up.

“Maybe,” he smirked, and I didn’t miss the way he smiled when he replied.

“You like her huh?” I said, drying my hands.

“What’s not to like?” He shrugged, following me around the kitchen.

“Hey, I didn’t say there was anything wrong with it. I think it’s great,” I continued, leading him back through the main kitchen towards the pantry.

“Guess you don’t know too much about her, then eh?” He asked, eager to learn more about Taylor.

“Unfortunately I don’t. Stephanie and I have been out of touch for quite some time, so her friends are new to me.”

“I was thinking we should all hang out later, you know as a group. That way the two of you have an excuse to be around each other.” I offered, reaching for the first item on my list.

“Do you think that will work?”

“It’s bound too. It can’t hurt either way,” I shrugged, reaching for a few more items.

“So, what about you and Stephanie?” He asked. “What’s the situation there?”

“Honestly, I don’t know. I mean, we’ve always been friends, maybe secretly more than friends but life got in the way,” I admitted.

“And now that your life is kind of moving in another direction you think the two of you might have a chance?”

Thinking about what Mia said earlier, I guess the only thing standing in our way was each other. “It’s a possibility,” I shrugged. “But enough real talk, shouldn’t you be creating content or something?”

“Right. Let's go live,” he agreed, removing his phone from his pocket once again. “Alright, can we go through the ingredient list as you choose each item?”

“Great idea.”

For the next few hours, Bradly followed me around never missing an opportunity to ask me a question while we were recording. At first, I was nervous but once we got going I forgot that I was talking to the audience instead of just answering Bradly’s questions. Before long, I was the one telling the audience things before they had the chance to ask.

By the time we’re entering the final stage of dinner prep, we took a moment to pause between segments. While Bradly, dealt with the live stream, I took a moment to check my phone for any missed calls I may have received while we were filming but there weren’t any.

“Everything alright?” Ronnie asked, reaching for the spice labeled ‘I beg your Parsley’.

“I thought I’d hear from Stephanie about dinner by now,” I said, bringing up her contact to double-check.

“The reception on the ship can be spotty in some areas. Maybe she didn’t get the message?” He offered, as a woman popped her head in.

“Hey babe, what time are you off tonight?” She said before realizing Ronnie wasn’t alone. “Oh, I’m sorry. I thought Ronnie was alone,” she said, trailing her eyes over me.

“Logan, this is Devyn. My girlfriend,” he said, pulling her into his side. “She works at Brain Freeze.”

Smiling with pride, she extends her hand. “Nice to meet you. You’re that hockey player Ronnie’s obsessed with, aren’t you?”

If men could blush, Ronnie would be doing just that. “I wouldn’t say obsessed,” Ronnie says, trying to defend himself.

Chuckling at his expense, I shook her hand. “I guess I am. Nice to meet you.”

“So, what’s going on in here, Ronnie? Are you two entertaining tonight?”

“Logan’s doing a practice run before his spotlight on Sunday.”

“You cook?” she asks, arching her brow. “I didn’t know hockey players could cook,” she says, eyeing me suspiciously.
