“You don’t know what we’re going to say.” Ivy crosses her arms.
Gray shifts Charlie higher against his chest. “I have a question.”
“No.”
“I didn’t even ask it yet.”
“The answer is still no.”
“Have you ever considered going on a date with Ethan?”
Harper and Ivy respond at the same time.
“No!”
Gray frowns. “What is wrong with Ethan?”
“He is always on his phone,” Harper says.
“Always,” Ivy adds.
Gray thinks for a moment. “Okay, fair.”
Harper turns toward me. “What about Daniel?”
Ivy makes a face. “Too intense.”
“He owns a bakery.”
“He talks about sourdough too much.”
Harper dismisses this with one hand. “Fine. What about Marcus?”
“He dated one of my coworkers,” I say.
“Is that bad?”
“She changed practices.”
Harper’s eyebrows rise. “Well, Marcus is out.”
Micah laughs.
Harper looks at him. “You’re not contributing.”
“I am observing.”
“That’s Olivia’s thing.”
“I know.”
They begin again.
Gray says the name Chris.
