Doing as Sutton said, I threw my car into drive, then sped out of the parking lot, praying we’d lost the two niggas from the store. In the pit of my stomach, I knew this wasn’t going to be the last we’d seen of either of them. Those niggas weren’t normal. They had a supernatural aura about them, which was insane because, as far as I knew, stuff like that didn’t exist outside of books. Humans were the only things that existed, but clearly, I might have been wrong. I’d never seen any human with white eyes or blue eyes like the ones on the two of them. .
Or maybe they were just trying to play tricks on us. I mean, they could have easily been wearing contacts. No, their eyes were real, and contacts didn’t explain the strange connection I felt with the beautiful one, nor did they explain Sutton kissing the other one. Of all things, Sutton hated intimacy. I hadn’t since Sutton kissed a man since her first boyfriend in the seventh grade. She was more of the fuck-them-and-leave-them type. The attraction I felt toward that man was something I could barely describe without feeling like I was going insane. Something about the both of them screamed old but going by their looks they couldn’t be more than twenty-five. I tried to wrap my mind around what I was feeling toward that man. I have never felt a pull so strong, hell I didn’t even feel that strongly towards Dante, and I’d known him for years. My body was reacting to a stranger the way it should have reacted to a man I was in love with.
As crazy as it sounded, a part of me didn’t want to leave him. That emptiness I felt seemed to disappear when he was around. It seemed like the further I went away from him, the emptier I started to feel again. It took everything in me not to run into his arms when he called my name back in the store. I felt guilt when I didn’t listen to him and that was how I knew something wasn’t normal with that man or me. Quinny didn’t fall for every good looking nigga I came across. I barely paid niggas attention and I damn sure didn’t believe in love at fist sight. Let Dante tell it, I was like an icebox. He swore I was so emotionless that he didn’t believe I loved or cared for him, which was his excuse for cheating. He wasn’t wrong either but the way that nigga in the store had me feeling like I couldn’t live without him was scary. I feared the way I lost control over myself around him. It wasn’t right, and I had to stay the fuck away from him.
I slowed down once we got a good distance away from the store. I guessed our movie night was canceled. I don’t know about Quinny but my mind was to fucked up to focus on any movie. I was ready to call Emberly, she was normally the voice of reason for the three of us.
“Why all the fine niggas gotta be crazy?” Sutton said, actually sounding like she was sad.
“Girl, I don’t think crazy is the word for whatever the fuck them niggas had going on.” I sighed, focusing on the dark road ahead.
“Remind me, why did you move all the way to the country?” Sutton asked, rolling her eyes.
For our movie nights, we rotated between each other’s houses. Sutton liked city life. She lived right in the middle of the downtown area. I preferred the quiet country life. I lived on the outskirts of town, which didn’t normally bother me until this moment.
There was only one road that led to my house. It was a two-lane road that stretched for a good fifteen to twenty miles, with nothing to look at besides flat cornfields, farmhouses, and animals. It was a boring drive that usually never bothered me, but tonight, this road looked creepy as fuck. The lack of light had me questioning my own sanity. I didn’t know why my goofy ass was headed in the direction of my house when I should have gone to Sutton’s condo. It was a lot closer, and we wouldn’t be driving down this deserted road.
“Quinny! Stop!” Sutton yelled my name, causing me to slam on the brakes. A cloud of smoke filled the air, and my car came to a screeching halt.
“What the fuck, Sutton?” I spat, glaring at her evilly, not understanding why she’d called my name like that.
“Bitch,” she said fearfully, gripping my arm as she signaled with her head for me to look forward.
My heart dropped when I looked out the front windshield. No fucking way. This wasn’t fucking possible. I had to be hallucinating, seeing him standing a few feet from my car with a cocky grin as we locked eyes. My heart was racing. I couldn’t how this nigga had caught up to us and was standing in front of my car. It was literally impossible for him to be standing in the middle of the road blocking our path. It took us thirty minutes in a car to get to where we were, and yet he was standing there, fearlessly like nothing could harm him.
Tap! Tap!
The sound of fingers hitting Sutton’s window caused both of us to jump fearfully. We both turned to see the guy with the deep blue eyes there. He smiled at Sutton, beckoning for her to roll down her window. She shook her head no, which made him frown. He tilted his head, glaring at Sutton for a few seconds. I saw her chest rapidly rise and fall, she was scared but she stared back at him. Finally, she cracked the window slightly.
“Get out the car, Sutton,” he commanded her without missing a beat. Sutton looked at me. She was just as terrified as me, but my sister had a fiery soul. Even if she was scared of that nigga, she’d never allow him to know it.
She whipped her head back in the direction of blue eyes. “Fuck you,” she evilly replied, sounding far less fearful than she really was. Her ass had to have a death wish. Why couldn’t she have just said something nice to him?
Blue eyes let out a hearty laugh. “Fuck me? I like that.” His voice sounded amused, but his face didn’t hold the same sentiment. Without warning, we both watched in horror as my car door was ripped from my car. The crackling of the metal as he tore my car door off, echoed through the night sky.
“WHAT THE FUCK! WHAT THE FUCK!” I screamed as the blue eyed monster tossed the door into the field behind him like it weighed nothing.
“WE’RE GOING TO DIE! HE’S GOING TO KILL US!” Sutton screamed, drooping her fake bravery. She grabbed onto my arm, and I had to fight my instincts to push her from me. I loved Sutton but she was the one who pissed him off. We both didn’t need to die. Instead, I held onto her, prepared to go out with my sister. Both of us were scared shitless. I didn’t think about death much, but this wasn’t how I would have imagined my end.
The blue eyed monster laughed at us like this shit was a bigcass joke, and if I wasn’t scared of him, I would have cussed him the fuck out. This shit wasn’t close to being fucking funny. He licked his lips hungrily as his eyes settled on Sutton. “The only thing I’m going to kill is that pussy.” He smiled, and once again, he moved at the speed of light.
He snatched Sutton from the car, he was too strong for us we easily lost our grip on each other. She screamed in horror as we were forced to let go of each other. Not thinking clearly, I rushed out of the car. I couldn’t lose my sister. Tears fell from my eyes as I watched wings sprout from the blue eyed monster’s back. He lifted my sister, and they flew up into the air. I cried harder because I had to be having a psychotic breakdown. This shit couldn’t be fucking happening to me. I screamed at the top of my lungs when I could no longer see Sutton. I had to get my sister, I had no clue what the thing was going to do to her. Sutton and Emberly were all I had left. If I lost either one of them, I wouldn’t be able to make it.
“She’s fine.” I frantically turned around, looking into his eyes.
He smiled. “The last thing he would do is hurt her. Just like I would never hurt you.”
I scrambled back when he reached his hand out to touch me. “What the fuck are you?” I asked, my voice trembling as I continued slowly backing away from him.
“Your soulmate,” he cockily answered. Taking two steps, he easily closed the distance between us. “I guess we went about this wrong. I’m Kenji,” he said coolly, grabbing my arm and pulling me into his body.
“Kenji,” I repeated, feeling myself getting lost in him. Being this close to him was dangerous. My mind filled with a fog making it hard for me to focus. It was like he was taking over my entire bein and my body wanted to listen to him.
Kenji lowered his head, hovering his lips inches from mine. I found myself wanting to feel his lips, just to see if they felt as soft as they looked. The thumping in my pussy returned. Instead of his lips, he used his tongue to trace the outline of my lips. My body shivered in response, and my pussy became slick. He chuckled like he knew too.
“Don’t worry. I’m going to take good care of her,” Kenji said. I felt his hand slipping between our bodies as he shamelessly cupped my pussy through my pants. Squeezing it, he gave me momentary relief from the aching I was feeling.
I knew I should have been outraged. I didn’t know Kenji, yet here I was, letting him lick all over me and palm my pussy out in the open like we’d known each other forever. I should have been, but I wasn’t. Kenji’s hands felt so fucking good on me. I never wanted them to leave my body. I was going insane with how bad I wanted him. My body was literally screaming for Kenji to do whatever he wanted to do to me. I was losing whatever willpower I had to fight him. My body relaxed in his arms as our lips connected. I allowed him to take control of our kiss. His kiss held passion that made me almost lose all my senses.
