Sutton.
Remembering my sister was what brought me back to my senses. While his tongue was exploring my mouth, although I enjoyed it, I used this moment to knee Kenji in the balls. I figured it was my best bet. I was pretty sure he wasn’t human, but he was still a nigga, and their balls were their weak spot. Kenji howled in pain. He released me, cupping his balls.
I took off running into the cornfields. I wasn’t in shape by any means, so I had to make every second count. There was only so much running I could do before he caught up to me. I just prayed I could make it to the farmhouse that was at the end of the cornfield. I ran with all my might for as long as I could before I began slowing down. I could only sprint for so long. All those times Sutton had asked me to go jogging with her, I’d declined. I regretted not taking her up on those offers.
I was about halfway through the cornfield when I slowed to a speed walk. Fuck, I was out of breath, and my tears stung my eyes. My heavy breathing made it impossible for me to hear if Kenji was running behind me. I was sure he was going to be pissed once he got himself together. I hoped whoever was in that house had a gun or something we could use to defend ourselves from Kenji. How was I going to get Sutton back? Nobody would believe me if I told them a man with wings kidnapped my sister. They’d think I’d I was a fucking mental patient. I needed to call Emberly. As I felt around my body I realized I’d dropped my cell phone. She’d know I wasn’t crazy. Hopefully, this house I spotted in the distance had a phone.
The silence made me believe Kenji had left. There were no noises coming from behind me, just the wind howling making this situation seem even scarier. I had slowed all the way down, I had used all of my energy all I could do was walk. Surely, if Kenji was still after me, he would have already caught up with me. I came to the edge of the cornfield, and the house was right in front of me. I smiled, thankful I’d made it away from Kenji safely. I was one step closer to figuring out how to get Sutton back.
“Quinny, that wasn’t nice.”
I stopped in my tracks as Kenji hovered in front of me with wings like the one who’d taken Sutton. Except Kenji’s wings appeared to be white with red markings on them that I couldn’t make out from this distance.
“Say sorry,” he commanded. It was crazy how Kenji’s voice held so much authority yet he spoke calmly and in a low tone.
“Please,” I found myself begging. I didn’t know why I was pleading with him, but it was the only thing that made sense to me right now.
“Please and sorry are two very different words,” Kenji said, taunting me.
“I just want my sister and to be able to go home,” I said, thinking I could reason with him.
“Home is with me.” He replied with a cracked smirk.
“I-I don’t know you,” I whined, hating that I agreed with him. Being with him did feel like home.
“I told you. I’m your soulmate.” Kenji’s eyes seemed to glow as he spoke those words.
“No.” I shook my head fearfully.
“Come here,” he said as he slowly lowered himself to the ground, standing on his feet. “Don’t make me repeat myself, Quinny,” he warned, with a darkness lingering in his words that made my body react.
I was nervous. At the same time, I was curious about what would happen if I didn’t do what he said. The expression in his eyes told me everything his mouth didn’t. Kenji’s gaze was hungry, predatory. He wanted me. He wanted my body, and I wanted him to have it.
No, I didn’t. I needed to get away from him.
Fuck, Kenji stood directly between me and that house. Maybe I could scream to wake the people in the house up. Then they could come out to help me.
“Kenji, what do you want from me? I don’t have anything to offer you,” I timidly said.
“Baby, you have everything I need,” he replied with a lopsided grin.
Fuck it. I darted back into the cornfield to try to lose Kenji and find another route to the house.
“Quinny, when you run from me, it only makes my dick hard,” I heard Kenji call out to me. I wished I could say his words didn’t affect me, but they did.
Ever since I’d laid eyes on Kenji, my hormones had been raging out of control. Everything that man did made my pussy wet. I wanted him in the worst way. Just hearing him speak of his dick clouded my mind with questions. Determined to fight my intrusive thoughts, I continued on my run. I was going to run toward the back, using the cornfield as my cover. I wasn’t sure this would work, especially if Kenji decided to fly. In the air, he’d easily spot me, but this seemed like the best option. I thought about trying to run past Kenji; however, when I thought about how my body reacted to being close to him, I knew that wouldn’t work. I could see the back door of the house and ran full force toward it. In my haste, I didn’t bother to find out where Kenji was. I was using all my energy to make it to the house before I became winded again.
“Quinny, baby, what are you doing?” Kenji asked, sounding amused by my efforts. I looked over my shoulder to see Kenji gliding behind me with no real effort put into his movement.
Here I was, running for my life while he leisurely flew above me. Bastard. I didn’t answer him. I just ran with all my might up the stairs of the porch, praying the door was unlocked as I scrambled to twist the doorknob.
Yes! I could have cried when the knob turned and the door opened. I fell into the house as the door swung open. I quickly twisted, landing on my ass. The door was wide open. I scooted back as far as I could, away from the door. I watched in defeat as Kenji walked up the steps onto the porch, stopping a few inches from the door. I was fucked. I didn’t know why I thought a house would stop whatever the hell Kenji was from getting me. He could fucking fly. What was a door going to do to stop him? It was apparent he wasn’t going to stop until he got to me. I pressed my back against the wall. I couldn’t break away from his alluring gaze. Neither of us spoke. We just stared at each other for what seemed like hours but, in reality, was a few minutes. Then it dawned on me: Kenji hadn’t moved from his spot at the door. He didn’t even try to come into the house.
“W-what are you doing?” I nervously asked, trying to understand why he hadn’t moved. I was obviously cornered. He had me right where he wanted me.
“See, the thing about my kind is, we can’t just walk into a house uninvited,” he said, sounding slightly annoyed.
“So, so, so you can’t get me in here?” I stuttered as I found the courage to stand on my feet. I wished I hadn’t moved from my spot. The way Kenji eyed my body as I stood up only added fuel to the fire that was already raging between my legs.
