If he could just kidnap her and tie her up until she forgave him, that would be perfect. According to Silvia, that would probably make matters worse. He didn’t even want to imagine them going to back to the days where they were worse than this. A few years ago, if he’d come to her cabin like this, she would’ve placed a spell on him that had him itching for days.

But ever since Sinclair was cursed to the plane, Winter had softened towards him a bit. He was hoping now that Sin had found her mate, Winter would start to long for hers also. So far, the answer to that was no. Rhen strode over to the intercom she had set up just for him to communicate with her about Sin. He pressed the button.

“What?”

“I wasn’t done talking about Sin, “Rhen said into the intercom.

“What?”

He signed and rubbed his forehead. Her attitude was giving him a headache. What she needed was a good spanking and a good fucking. Should he tell her that? No. He’d had enough verbal abuse for one day. He might as well do what he came here to do.

“Actually, Sin is fine. She’s preparing to cook a feast for Kaede. She wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas Eve.”

“She knows I don’t celebrate holidays.”

“I’ll tell her you said Merry Christmas Eve back.”

There was a long pause. Then she said. “Thanks.”

Rhen smiled. “You’re welcome, My Heart.”

“Go away.”

“Okay, okay. There’s something I want to talk over with you. Something that Sinclair doesn’t know.”

“What did you do, Rhen?”

“Nothing. I swear. Have more faith in me.”

“I can’t.”

He shoved down his feelings and continued talking. “Kaede, Sinclair’s mate…”

“I know who the dragon is.”

Don’t get upset with her Rhen. You love her. She’s the light of your life. She’s the…

“Hurry the fuck up, Rhen.”

This motherfucker! “There’s something he hasn’t told her.”

“Just like a mate to keep secrets. What is it?”

“She knows he’s an immortal alpha and knows that he’ll claim her during the coming full moon. What she doesn’t know is…”

“He may also kill her that night.”

“How do you know. I’ve heard of the curse of the first full moon. It only affects alphas. It’s different for shifters than vampires. As long as he doesn’t have any hatred or anger for her in his heart, he’ll be fine.”

“Thing is, he doesn’t. But, he still isn’t fine. I was thinking of ways to help him out.”

“You want to help someone.”

“I’ve been known to do that a time or two. Or ten. Fifty times.”

She laughed. The sound was like music to his ears. “I’ll believe it when I see.”

“Get ready to see it, because I’m going to help Kaede.’
