“That just leaves the Psychos,” I said, and she cringed.
“You’re not going to confront them, right? If you tell them I said anything—”
“You’re safe, babe. I wouldn’t get you in trouble like that,” I promised, tucking her hair behind her ear. “Anything else?”
She looked deep in thought for a second, the door opening and making her scowl. “It’s a private room, asshole.”
Myles gave her a dirty look before looking at me. “Hendricks wants to speak with you before you leave.”
“If he wants a favor, you fuckers can give me some of my money back,” I deadpanned, but he just rolled his eyes and left again.
Ocean rolled her hips slightly with a pout. “C’mon, Mark. Your cock definitely wants to see me.”
“I don’t blame him, you’re looking hot tonight,” I murmured, sliding a hand around her throat and gently squeezing. “But I’m working and don’t have all night to lose myself in you. Your pussy would fry my damn brain.”
She giggled, and part of me wondered why the fuck I was even turning her down. I wanted to get laid, and I knew she’d give me what I wanted, but I just wasn’t interested tonight.
“At least get your money’s worth,” she insisted, getting to her feet and pulling me up, motioning to the bed. I raised an eyebrow but let her drag me towards it, her small hands removing my jacket and placing it gently over the chair before returning for my shirt.
She encouraged me to lie down on my stomach, then she sat on the backs of my thighs and started massaging my shoulders.
“You’ll put me to sleep,” I joked, relaxing as she worked my tight muscles.
“You needed something for your money. My information isn’t a lot.”
“It’s still something.”
She was careful of my healing wound as she worked her way down my back, and I was definitely relaxed by the time Violet entered.
“Is this a party?” she asked with amusement, making me huff.
“No, it’s a meeting. All those years of jerking cock gave her good hands,” I teased, earning a playful swat from Ocean. “I’m kidding.”
“Ocean’s on stage in ten minutes, so wrap this thing up,” Violet replied, walking closer to sit on the edge of the bed. “You don’t usually want to see me.”
“I’m here for Hunter. We’re chasing information and I figured you girls usually hear a lot of gossip.”
Ocean climbed off me, giving me a quick kiss on the cheek. “I’ll let you know if I hear anything else. Come see me again soon.”
“Wait,” I said as she went to leave, grabbing my wallet and handing her a couple hundred dollar bills. “Thank you.”
She seemed surprised but took them, thanking me as she put her heels back on and left me alone with Violet.
“I know Arch isn’t a fan of you guys, but we always get paid well when the Devils visit,” Violet smiled, running her eyes over me as I rolled onto my back to stretch.
“You’re always worth every damn cent too,” I said with a wink.
She took her heels off and laid back beside me, staring at the ceiling. “What did you need from me?”
“You hear anything about Rory’s arrest? Hunter’s getting desperate,” I yawned, wishing I could just have a nap. I never could here, but it was so comfortable.
“Only the same shit as the other girls. Rumors and assumptions. The most common one is it was an inside job from the Psychos, especially with the way Skeet’s cut her off. I really thought they were soulmates or something, but he’s so cold about her now. Makes me question if real love is even out there,” she murmured.
“You’ll find someone one day that knocks you off your feet just by looking at you. Promise,” I said seriously, her head tilting to look at me.
“I’d be happy with someone who can look after me so I don’t have to worry about things anymore. I’ll be stripping forever otherwise.”
“I hope you find that person too,” I replied, sitting up. “I just need to get Rory out of prison so Hunter can stop working himself into the ground.”
