“But she loves Ritchie,” Indi pointed out.
“I’ll take that bet. She’s always giving Ryan hell,” Levi said.
“Jock?” Leni arched a brow.
“I think she’s playing hard to get,” Jock said.
“Bullshit,” Archer said, sparking an animated debate.
Eventually, bets were placed, and Archer whispered something to Indi that made her blush. He hugged her against his side, puffing up like a proud peacock, and said, “Excuse us. We have some business to tend to.”
“Don’t mess up the vines,” Jock said as they walked away. “I hear the vintner goes apeshit on anyone who touches them.”
Archer flicked him the bird as they walked away.
“I still can’t believe he’s married,” Levi said.
“I can,” Sutton said. “They belong together. The question is, when are Leni and Raz heading down the aisle?”
Raz looked lovingly at Leni. “Sometime in the next year. We’re just waiting to hear about my filming schedule.”
“Maybe we can have a double wedding,” Flynn suggested, drawing curious gazes.
Sutton’s eyes flew open wider, her emotions reeling. Did she hear him right? Was he serious? Did she want him to be? It was too fast. Wasn’t it?
“Hey, that’d be great,” Raz said. “Right, Len?”
Leni’s brows knitted, but a smile tugged at her lips. “If it’s what Sutton wants.” Always the protector.
Everyone was looking at Sutton. Her mind spun. “I…um…” Her stomach knotted up, and she looked at Flynn, trying to read his expression, but he just looked…happy. “We haven’t talked about—”
Flynn’s lips quirked. “Gotcha.”
The breath rushed from her lungs. “Give a girl a heart attack, why don’t ya?” She tried to ignore the pang of disappointment moving through her as her brothers cracked up.
He hugged her. “Sorry, babe. I had to get in on the pranking.”
“Gotta love a guy who pranks on the fly,” Jock said.
“Damn, Flynn,” Raz said. “Way to burst my bubble. I was getting excited.”
“You’re such a marshmallow when it comes to love,” Leni teased him.
Raz pulled her into his arms. “Only since falling for you.”
“That’s what love does to you. I’m a softie for Tara, too,” Levi said.
“That’s what she said.” Leni laughed at her own joke.
“I think that can be said for all of us,” Jock added. “Not in the way Leni took it.”
Flynn whispered, “Me too, for you,” in Sutton’s ear, sending a shiver of delight through her.
“Ohmygod. You guys are so mushy,” Leni said. “I need a shot if we’re going to make it through any more of this.”
They toasted to Archer and Indi, and with only the six of them within earshot, Leni and Sutton congratulated Levi and Jock on their growing families, and they toasted to them, too. They toasted to new friends, honoring Flynn, and then they joked around before going their separate ways to chat with friends.
Flynn and Sutton mingled their way around the reception. When the song “Beautiful Things” by Benson Boone came on, Flynn took Sutton’s hand and led her onto the dance floor.
