He twirled her in his arms, gazing deeply into her eyes, and as Benson sang about not wanting to lose the woman he loved, Flynn said, “Did I freak you out with what I said about a double wedding?”

She swallowed hard, so crazy about him, she could barely see straight. “I wouldn’t say I was freaking out. I was just surprised that you were thinking in that direction. But then you said you were joking, so…”

“I was joking, but would it scare you to know I’m hoping we’ll get there someday?”

Goose bumps chased over her skin. “No. I hope we will, too.”

A smile crept across his handsome face. “Good.”

He kissed her, and then she rested her head on his chest as they swayed to the music, reveling in the surety of them and the feel of his heart beating against her cheek.

Hadley and Ritchie ran by giggling, and Joey followed as the song came to an end and a faster one came on. Flynn twirled her again, and she laughed. He gathered her in his arms, swaying seductively, as if it were a slow song. His hands slid down to the small of her back, and every ounce of her longed for his touch.

“I’m really glad I pissed you off, Steele.”

She arched a brow. “Why is that?”

“Because I got to spend this time with you, and meet your awesome family, and see you with them and with your friends. I like learning things about you and seeing who you are with the people you love most. I want to experience everything with you.”

Her heart felt like it might burst. She wanted to experience everything with him, too. “Everything?”

“Everything,” he whispered.

“Then what do you say we get out of here?”

“Won’t your family get upset if we leave?”

“Are you kidding? My family is probably celebrating the fact that I finally brought a guy home.”

“A great guy,” he teased.

“The best guy.” She went up on her toes and kissed him.

SUTTON CLUNG TO Flynn’s hand like she was never going to let him go, and he hoped she never would as they hurried to the edge of the patio. She snagged a bottle of champagne from a barrel of ice and made a beeline past the stone wall, stealing glances over her shoulder.

She was so damn cute, tugging him between a row of vines. She shoved the champagne bottle into his hands. “Hold this.” Using his arm for leverage, she quickly took off her heels and plucked them off the ground. She snagged his hand again, hazel eyes glittering in the moonlight. “Let’s go!”

They ran to the end of the row, and she didn’t slow down as she said, “This way,” and bolted to the left.

Driven by lust and love and everything in between, they ran hand in hand, the salty sea air filling their lungs as they passed row after row of vines, laughing and slowing only long enough to steal a few kisses. They ran all the way to the end of the vineyard and kept going until they got to a hill.

“Up here!” She led him through a group of trees, ducking beneath branches as they hurried along what looked like remnants of an old path. They wound through more trees, eventually coming to a grassy knoll. Sutton dropped her heels and grabbed her side, trying to catch her breath.

He set down the bottle. “I had no idea you could run like the wind.”

“It’s been a long time.” She laughed and blew out a breath.

“It’s beautiful here. Is this your secret make-out spot?”

“No. It’s my secret reading spot. I’ve never shown it to anyone. Not even Leni.” She lowered her gaze briefly, her long lashes fluttering as she lifted her eyes to his again, full of desire. “But I’d like it to be our secret make-out spot.”

She looked so beautiful, wearing her heart on her sleeve. He slid an arm around her waist, drawing her closer, and threaded his other hand into her hair. “I’m honored. Do I get to defile the untouchable Sutton Steele on Silver Island?”

“Shut up and kiss me,” she said through a laugh.

His lips came down over hers, sweet and slow, savoring their connection. She moaned, going up on her toes, trying to take as much as she gave. Every slide of their tongues, every sinful sound she made, lured him deeper into her, until her breaths became his, and he ached to be inside her. Reaching behind her, he untied the back of her dress and slipped it off her shoulders. It puddled at her feet, and goose bumps rose on her skin. He helped her step out of the dress and held her against him, taking her in deep, passionate kisses. His hands moved over her body, warming, caressing, loving her until her flesh was hot, and she was groping him, begging for more. He tugged off his tie, and together they worked the buttons on his shirt free. He reluctantly broke the kiss to toe off his shoes and take off his clothes, slowing only long enough to spread out his shirt and strip off her panties.

She sank down to her back, and as he came down over her, his heart spoke. “You look so beautiful wearing your heart on your sleeve.” Their mouths came together as their bodies became one, sending rivers of pleasure washing over him. Her mouth fell open with a gratified “Oh.”
