“Shit,” he muttered, stumped.

“But…I’m sure I can figure it out. I’ll google something. There’s tons of stuff about it.” She sucked in a breath. “We can do some of those things Rukem has never done. Maybe go see a movie. Eat at a normal restaurant. Ride a bike. Well, maybe not a bike.”

“It’ll take more than one date. Why don’t you come up with several days worth? Let him know it’s for your learning cause.”

“Brilliant idea. And of course it can be. Will be.”

“Yes. I can’t thank you enough for helping me.”

“Oh, don’t be silly,” she muttered. “I’m happy to help, you know that. And I’m learning a lot too.”

“I bet,” he said, grinning.

“But if you see or think I may be on the wrong track with anything, sending out…signals or whatever, please let me know? Without telling Rukem,” she whispered.

“You got it. But there’s been zero complaints from him.”

“Really,” she whispered.

“Not a one.”

“That’s amazing. Good. Very good. Anything he mention I should…keepdoing?”

His brows rose as he struggled for something unique. “Just being you,” he said. “I’ll let you go. I’m actually waiting to see Sophie.”

“Oh! How awesome. Send my…well, tell her I said hi and I’m glad she’s better. And I can’t wait to have a friend. No, just say…crap, tell her what you think is appropriate.”

Ace chuckled, getting why Rukem liked her personality. She was easy to be around. “Later, Darby.”

“Night Ace.”

CHAPTER EIGHT

“Look, if you don’t want to tell me about your big secret meetings, that’s fine,” Beth dismissed with a shrug while Bishop knew otherwise. “But you do need to tell me when you’re starting your husband classes. Unless this big news no longer requires husbands and wives to be happily married?”

“No, Ma Petite,” Bishop muttered, making his way to his childhood bed and crossing his arms on the mattress. “DeJa’Vu,” he murmured, watching her writing busy notes on her tablet. Mon Dieu he loved that day with all his being.

“Is that a new dating system you have?”

He smiled at her. “It could be. Why, you want to date me?”

“I mean calendar date! I asked you when you’re starting class and all you say is sex stuff.”

“That’s because everything about you is sex.” He raised innocent hands at her angled glare. “Talk to God, I didn’t do it.”

“So I’m thinking to start classes this weekend. Saturday. I already talked to Ma-Ma and she agrees. We’re gonna have it at the big house in case the husbands wanna have theirs on the same night in the Basillique. Two birds, one stone? What do you think?”

“I think I want to eat your pussy.” It was the only thing that could take his mind off of the looming darkness in it.

She gave a frustrated growl, dropping her head back, making him chuckle.

“Tell me what you’re teaching for your first class,” he said. “How to properly submit to your husband’s sexual appetites? How to be less sexy so he isn’t always wanting it? How to survive the assault while being pregnant?”

“Oh please don’t start that again,” she begged right at him. “And the baby book is due tomorrow. You will see that you’re wrong about accidentally impaling our child with your…penis.”

“Ma Petite,” he warned. “You said penis. Take off your panties.”
