“They are, and I couldn’t have asked for a better man to date my daughter.” Fin smiled and raised his glass to Shane.

Shane glanced down at Averie and grinned. She grinned, too, and leaned up and placed a firm kiss on his cheek.

“Hey, Fin. I know the game is on, right?” Shane asked, changing the subject. Tonight was for them to wind down and relax. He couldn’t think of a better way to do it than with his woman, her family, and a good game of football.

“It sure as hell it is.”

Her parents turned and walked over to the oversized leather couches that were placed in front of the television that was mounted on the wall over their fireplace.

“Shane King,” Averie whispered. Her beautiful eyes twinkled as she glanced up at him.

Her smile had his heart racing, and after tonight, he was sure their future was bright.

“So I think we need to go ahead an draw up that contract,” she said.

“Which one?” he asked. His brain whirled, trying to think of what business adventure they would need to be discussing.

“You know.” She giggled and wagged her eyebrows.

His lips spread out into a wide grin with her evasive hint of them solidifying their relationship.

“The one for you retaining me as your personal attorney.”

She winked at him before turning and strolling toward her parents. She put a little more emphasis in the sway of her hips, and he was sure, later on, they would work out every little detail.
