Avarie had to fight to keep from smiling. This was completely new for her. She was strong woman, and after a night of burning up the sheets with Shane, it had her giggling like a young schoolgirl.

Shane had been very convincing in her spending the night with him. Her eyes met his as she finished getting dressed and turned her back to him. The heat in his gaze revealed what he was thinking, and if they acted on it, they’d be back in the bed.

“Why are you turning away from me?” he growled, coming up behind her.

He wrapped his strong arms around her and pulled her back on him. She leaned against his strong chest and basked in the feel of him surrounding her.

Their night together had been magical. Shane had ensured that every single inch of her body had been shown attention, from the tip of her head to her breasts, her slightly pudgy belly and on down to her toes. Her body still tingled from her multiple orgasms Shane had given her.

“Because if you keep looking at me like that, we’ll end up back in the bed,” Avarie breathed, her smile fading.

She swiveled around in his arms and tilted her head back to meet his gaze. Her attention was drawn to the dark stubble on his chin and jawline. She reached up and ran her fingers along his jaw. Her breath caught in her throat at the memory of the prickly hairs rubbing against her soft inner thighs when Shane had feasted on her in the most intimate of ways.

“Let me send my brother packing,” he threatened, moving back from her.

“No, Shane. We can’t stay in bed all day,” she scoffed, grabbing his arm.

He turned back to her and raised his eyebrow as if issuing a challenge. His eyes narrowed on her while his lips curved up in a cocky grin. She sighed, her core clenching with his sexy stare. She rolled her eyes and sighed again. “We shouldn’t stay in bed all day.”

“Fine. But he better have a damn good reason for coming over here saying he was to pick me up. Who the hell thinks they can just summon me?” Shane growled.

Avarie felt sorry for his brother and whoever requested he meet with them on a Saturday.

He grabbed her hand and led her out of the bedroom. They walked down the hallway of the second level. She hadn’t had time to explore much of his domain yet. Shane had kept her occupied since the minute she’d stepped over the threshold. Shane entwined their fingers and guided her down the stairs.

His home was in the plush suburbs and was everything a C.E.O of a major corporation should have. It was located in a gated community on a few acres. The large brick building was certainly a show-stopper and would make the perfect place to raise a family.

Her stomach dropped with the thought.

She glanced down at their joined hands, and her lips curved up in a smile.

Maybe it was time she began thinking of a future. Her career was going well, and she wasn’t getting any younger.

Every strong woman needed a man who treated her as their equal and gave her everything she would desire in life.

Security, love, and out-of-this-world great sex.

“What could be so important that you’d disturb me on this beautiful Saturday morning?” Shane demanded.

He led her into the oversized family room. Trevor sat in the recliner in front of the television with the remote in his hand, flicking through the channels.

“I’m sure whatever floozy you spent the night with is gone. I’d have to say her clothes look a little classier—” His words faded off as their eyes met.

She leaned into Shane’s arm with a small smile on her lips.

“So I guess I’m an upgrade from your regular women?” she asked, turning her gaze up to Shane.

His face was stone like as he glared at his younger brother. Shane’s hand gripped her shoulder, and he wrapped his other arm around her and pulled her flush to him.

“No, you are most definitely not like most women,” Shane murmured against her forehead.

She switched her focus back to the other King brother.

“Morning, Mr. King.” She nodded to Trevor, trying to lighten the atmosphere.

“Counselor.” He cleared his throat, reaching up to scratch the top of his head. His lips curled up in a smile. “Considering the racket you two were making up there, I’d say we are past the formalities. Please, call me Trevor.”
