I approached my club. I knew Khadejah would be singing tonight since my assistant informed me of the new employees who had been hired if I was not there to oversee the hiring myself. I even saw a demo of her singing that she had emailed when she applied for the job. Khadejah had the voice of a goddess, and I loved the way her soulful voice caressed my soul. I watched her as she made her way over to the other end of the bar. The bartender said something to her, her head fell back, and she laughed. Then she turned to the woman at her side and spoke. The musical sound of her laughter caused chills to run over my body.

“Hey, do you want a drink? My friend Justin asked.

“Yes, I want a beer,” I responded never taking my eyes off of the brown beauty. I had to take in a deep breath when our eyes collided. “I’ll be right back,” I stated before making my way over to the woman who had controlled my thoughts since I kissed her on the beach. I could tell she recognized me by the stiff way she held her frame.

“Hello, let’s try this again. My name is Seth Redding, and it’s my pleasure to see you again. Can I order you another drink?” I questioned holding out my hand to her palm facing upward.

“I don’t need to know who you are,” she said turning away from me. “Get lost,” she added with an attitude.

“I’m Regina Patton, and Khadejah and I are friends.” I looked over just in time to see Regina place her hand in mine instead of Khadejah.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Regina,” I replied bringing her hand to my lips and brushed a soft kiss against the back of her hand. I noticed Khadejah bristled when I kissed her friend’s hand.

“Hey boss,” Jane came out from the back office. “I see that you’ve met our newest employee, Khadejah Butler.”

I could see Khadejah’s mouth gape open and she visibly shivered. I smirked as I gazed into the brown depths of her eyes.

“Actually, yes. Khadejah and I had the pleasure of meeting on the beach earlier today. Isn’t that right, Khadejah?” I couldn’t help myself but to yank her chain. She was hot as hell when she got angry. I bet she was a hellcat in bed. I adjusted my pant leg to make room for my growing erection.

“I—ah I--”

I reached my hand out to Khadejah’s again, and this time she placed her hand on mine. I brought her hand to my lips and placed a lingering kiss on her wrist. I could feel her pulse rapidly beating before I pulled away.

“I’m sorry about earlier,” she said but couldn’t bring herself to meet my gaze.

A grin tipped up the corners of my lips. “No need to be. I'm the one who needs to apologize. I leaned over and whispered in her ear. “I have never kissed a woman I didn't know before. That's not me at all,” I reiterated before standing to my full height.

I could see a flush arise against her neckline and to her cheeks. I found it hard not to gaze at her kissable lips. My cock grew harder just thinking about how her hot mouth would feel wrapped around my ten-inch shaft.

“Would you two ladies like a drink?” I offered again. “On the house, of course.”

She considered my words for a minute, her white teeth nibbled on her bottom lip. I grew harder. Her eyes returned to mine. She was indeed a vision to behold. I would be lying if I said the prospect of sex with her didn't cross my mind at that moment.

“Yes, I’ll have a Martini, triple the olives,” she responded.

“I’ll take another mojito since I didn’t get to finish my last one,” Gina grumbled giving her friend a cross look.

“Give the lady a Martini, triple the olives, and her friend a mojito,” I instructed the bartender.

“Sure thing, boss.”

“Am I missing something?” My assistant stood beside me with a perplexed look on her face.

“No, nothing at all,” I looked over and grinned at Khadejah. I caught her staring at me but when our eyes connected she hurriedly looked away.

“You’re on in ten minutes,” Jane informed Khadejah.

“I can’t wait to hear you sing. I’ll be sitting over there with my friend Justin front and center,” I told her, before walking away to rejoin my friend.

Khadejah

What just happened? That was the only question I was capable of asking myself. I admit I needed a moment to gather my thoughts and figure out what all this meant for me. After a blank moment, the reality of the situation hit me. He kissed me. I slapped him. I told him to get lost. And he is my boss. Those three drinks didn’t help at all. I was starting to panic.

“I can’t believe he’s my boss, Gina. I feel like a fool. I need you to help me escape. There is no way in tarnation I can go up there on the stage and sing in front of my boss. The same man who kissed me on the beach.”
