“I know babe, I just want us to end on good terms with no misunderstanding.” Rage seethed from Ashley's light colored eyes, but I held my stance. She snatched the money out of my hand, grabbed her clutch and marched towards the door.

“You forgot this,” I said bending to pick up her red thong. I held the small silky scrap of material out to her but she yanked the door open and didn't attempt to collect it.

“Keep it for a souvenir bastard!” Ashley muttered and slammed the office door behind her.

I dropped the underwear in the trash on my way to the bathroom in my office. Good thing I always thought to keep a change of clothes with me at work. Especially my jogging gear. Because after showering I was definitely going for a run...

The beach sand was gentle beneath my sneakered feet. Small shell creatures peeked from their shelter in the soft sand. Mini dunes of taupe dust would soon be soaked by the sea, gradually creeping its way further out to ocean. The Sun's rays peacefully descended over the cooling body of water and the sunset exposed the evening to cooler temperatures, but I was sweating halfway into my ten mile run.

A shadow near the rocky cliffs snagged my attention, and a soft sound of sorrow reached my ears inviting me, drawing me in with its grieving sound like a whispered melody. I noticed only a few feet away a woman's curvaceous form manifest itself before my eyes. Her brown face was set facing the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. Her shoulders quivered, and another strangled choked sound floated across the atmosphere to my ears. The woman’s hands covered her face. I didn't know why this woman’s tears affected me in this way, but with every hiccupping sob, a painful feeling ricocheted through my heart. My long muscular runner’s legs had me jogging the short distance that separated us before I could stop myself.

Recognition hit me at once. Upon closer inspection, I saw that the woman's eyes were luminous with wetness, and her mocha cheeks were dampened by her falling tears. This woman on the beach looking forlorn out towards the waves was the most beautiful woman that my eyes had ever graced. I found myself thanking the heavens for bringing me out here. If I had not been jogging on a chilly autumn evening on Virginia Beach, I never would have laid eyes on this heartbroken beauty.

The woman’s sobs surrounded me as I approached her. My heart clenched with empathy. I reached out only to wipe her tears away, but before I knew my own desires, I pulled her into my embrace. I reached for her, turning her towards me, and I cradled this beautiful woman against my chest allowing the torrent of her tears to soak against my bare chest. I could feel her body stiffen and her arms hung pliant against her sides. I could still feel her silent sobs, prolonged with each choking breath she took. I held her tighter against my chest, as a quiet war within began to rage within my own emotions. Without thought or consideration, I slightly pulled away from her and bent my head to mesh my lips with hers. My only attempt was to comfort this distraught woman in her time of need.

This woman's lips were as sweet as warm honey. Raging thoughts of insanity flitted through my mind, but I couldn’t stop myself from kissing her as I could not stop myself from sucking air into my lungs. Her tongue tentatively tangled with mine, my fragmented life at once became appeased. One hand found its way to her cheek, and I absorbed the feel of her soft, smooth flesh against my fingertips. Shit! My cock hardened as an electrical flow of desire coursed through my veins.

“Wait-- stop,” she gasped pushing me away.

I took a step back at once complying with her demand.

This woman standing before me with the sunset depicting the perfect image behind her has the most alluring colored eyes that I've ever seen. Her eyes were a hickory color, as vibrant as the color of hot chocolate with a drizzle of cream, encased in a diamond-shaped face. My heart hammered away inside my chest as I continued to gaze into her rich brown orbs.

My eyes widened. I knew this woman has no idea who I am. I felt the need to introduce myself before things went any further. “I'm sorry. I know that I was out of line. My name is--,”

A frown burrowed its way between her brows. She took a step away from me.

I felt a tightening in my loins as she perused me with her hard stare. I was amazed by the combination of fierceness that aroused me and pain that saddens me that this woman hid within herself. While darts of anger were shooting out of her eyes and hitting me as their target, beneath that anger was a veil of mist and sorrow that touched my very soul. I couldn’t shield myself from the sadness lurking in the depth of her eyes. My heart jerked with empathy.

“Ah, are you okay?” I asked hoping she wasn’t as livid as the fire flaring from her heated gaze.

“No, I'm not okay, and I don’t need to know your name,” her mouth became downturned with her words. “I don't know you, and you assaulted me with your lips!” Her hands turned inward into fists.

I took a step back when I realized the ferocity of her anger. There was no dodging her wrath. In slow motion, her hand raised back to make a connection with my right cheek. “Don’t ever touch me again,” she spat out and took off down the beach at an outright run before I could apologize. Little did the beautiful one know I already knew her name and knew that I would be seeing her later that night. That fact did nothing to stop my cock from getting harder as I watched the jiggle of her rounded ass as she ran away.

“Damn,” the curse word slipped past my lips as I rubbed my right cheek. I guess I deserved that, I thought just as an upward arch curved against my lips. Hell, that slap was worth it. I licked my lips with the thought of how her succulent lips were pliant to my demands if only for a moment in time.

Turning in the opposite direction of Miss Khadejah Butler, I started back to finish my run with the image of a certain mocha beauty forged on my brain.
