He slipped out of bed, pouted his lips, and crossed his arms. I had to admit how delectable he looked in all his naked glory. I wanted to drop to my knees in front of him and take him in my mouth. The thought turned me on.

“I’m holding you to that.”

He planted a kiss on my cheek and then bent down to pick up his discarded clothing from the night before. While I showered, he sat on the vanity and told me about Mexico. I told him about my new job, leaving out parts I knew would cause him concern, like the discussions JC and I had. Noah didn’t need to know that JC still held a torch for me even though he was married. When I shut the shower off, he was right there holding a towel for me. He wrapped it around me and pulled me into a hug.

“I can’t wait to spend all weekend with you. I love long weekends.”

“Oh my God, I completely forgot that it’s Memorial Day on Monday. I was so busy this week, and no one mentioned it.”

“Well, I get you all to myself this weekend unless you want to go do something? We could go to the South Street Seaport if you like.”

“Do you mind if we discuss it when I get home tonight?”

“Not at all. I would prefer just us if you want to know the truth.”

“Noah, is that your subtle way of saying you don’t want to go to my parent’s house?”

“I’m sorry, Lexi, but your father acts like I’m a spy. He drives me crazy with his questions. And your mom with the wedding preparations. Does she think that her grown daughter and soon to be son-in-law can’t handle them?”

“They mean well. But no, we don’t have to go if you don’t want to. They haven’t even asked me, so maybe they aren’t having their usual get together.”

“Lexi, it’s not that I don’t like them, because I do. I just want them to let us make our own decisions. It’s bad enough your mother was angry at you for a week over the dress you chose. It’s your wedding.”

“She got over it.”

“But it wasn’t necessary.”

He kisses me on my nose and lets me go, reaching around me to open the glass door to the shower. I finish drying myself while he’s washing up and then blow dry my hair. I’m still wrapped in the towel when he comes out, eyeing me lasciviously.

“You look good enough to eat.”

“Noah…”

He knows from the look on my face that I don’t have time. I have a half-hour to dress, apply my makeup and get to the subway, not nearly enough time to do what he has in mind.

“I will expect payment in full when we come home from dinner tonight.”

“Oh, do you now, Mr. Wilton.”

“I won’t tell you what to do, but yes.”

I swat at his taut ass as I leave the bathroom. Fifteen minutes later, I’m dressed and applying my makeup in the mirror over my dresser. Noah sat on the just-made bed and watched me. Anyone can tell he’s in love from the look in his eyes. It warms my heart to have a man so into me.

“Enjoy your day. I’ll be glued to my office chair for most of it.”

“What time are you making the reservation for?”

“7:00, I guess. Does that work for you?”

“Yes. That gives me time to get home and change.”

He pulls me into an embrace and hungrily kisses me, his tongue gently exploring my mouth. I break the kiss as the butterflies start to flutter.

“You’re incorrigible.”

“But you’ll take me any way you can get me.”

“That’s true. I’ll see you tonight.”
