He gazed down at me with half-lidded eyes, then closed them as he concentrated on our mutual pleasure. I dug my nails into his back, running them up and down his taut flesh. I saw him bite his lip and I withdrew knowing that I’d touched the bruised area near his spine.
“It’s alright; it only hurts a little. Touch me.”
Instead, I grasped his biceps tightly as he drew me closer to orgasm. Noah could always make me a slave to my lust, and I was that now. I wanted him deeper, harder, and faster. He obeyed my request, our flesh slapping together as he sped up his rhythm. And then, I reached the pinnacle of my climax and shattered around his hardness, his name on my lips. A few strokes later, Noah was joining me as he came.
He laid upon me, and I uncurled my legs from his waist. His head was buried in my neck, inhaling the scent of my perfume.
“I missed you very much, Lexi. I hate being away from you.”
“I love you, Noah.”
“Ditto.”
He gently pulled out of me and lay on his back. I turned on my side and snuggled against his warmth; my head tucked under his chin.
“Do you want dinner?”
“Nope. I’d rather make up for lost time.”
“Then, my dear fiancée, that’s what we’ll do.”
Noah pulled the sheet over us and held me close. This is what I loved about him. He always put my needs first. That night we certainly made up for lost time, making love twice more. In the morning, I woke up to the alarm. Our legs were entwined, and Noah gave me a sleepy grin.
“So, today is the end of your first week of work. Would you like to go and celebrate tonight?”
“Sure, what did you have in mind?”
“How about we go to Monster Barbecue?”
“Really? I thought you didn’t like eating there.”
“It’s not that I don’t like eating there. I don’t like eating there often. I know you enjoy it, and it’s one of your favorite places, so let’s go.”
“It’s a deal. You make reservations. Are you working from home today?”
“Yes, I have a bunch of paperwork to go through, and payroll is due on Tuesday. This upcoming week is going to be busy for me.”
“You’re not leaving me again, are you?”
“No. I have just enough guys for the weekly scheduling. Brice is out of commission for a while, so I’ll get him to help me at the office. We also have a couple of interviews to conduct. Business is getting busier now that it’s warming up. I need more employees, or you won’t see me all summer.”
I bit my lip and frowned. The last thing I wanted was to be away from Noah all summer. We had several items to take care of for our upcoming nuptials and I didn’t want to do them alone.
“Baby, don’t worry. I’m going to make sure I’m home. I know we have decisions to make for the wedding.”
“Thank you. Plus, I hate when you go away. I slept wonderfully last night well except for…you know.”
He yawned and smiled seductively. “Would you like to shower together?”
“I love you, Noah, but if we shower together, I’m going to be walking funny all day.”
“Is that a bad thing?”
“No, but honestly, I’m a little sore.”
“We can do other things. I’m in a very giving mood this morning.”
“I’d rather you do that in bed tonight.”
