Ryan fidgeted, surprised by an odd sensation of warmth all over his body. The aches faded and he was oddly revitalized as he awoke, staring up at Ormenus sleepily. “Wah…?”

Ormenus wiggled his fingers in a little wave.

“Ormenus!” Ryan bolted up with a gasp. He looked all around in shock, demanding, “Hey! Where the fuck is Bonnie? What are you doing here?”

“She’s in the bathroom putting on her new pajamas,” Ormenus answered gently. “You missed our date.”

Ryan looked at the bathroom door and glared at Ormenus for a moment. He scooted back against the headboard, warning, “I swear if you did anything to her?—”

“She’s absolutely fine.” Ormenus nodded at the plate on the other bed. “Although she may have a bit of a tummy ache after eating nachos and marshmallows.”

“Nachos and…?” Ryan laughed.

“It’s what she asked for.” Ormenus shrugged and offered Ryan a glass of wine. “Who am I to question the eating habits of small adorable goblins?”

Ryan didn’t even question how the glass was magically there, eagerly accepting it to take a big gulp. The wine was sweet and smooth, and he didn’t stop drinking until it was empty. “Just, uh, give me, like, ten minutes and I can be ready to go.” He paused. “How are you here? I drove all day to get here. How, how would you even know where I am? Fuck, I don’t even know where I am right now.”

“What’s with all these silly questions? Where’s the appreciation for how very romantic this is?” Ormenus refilled the glass with a wave of his hand.

“Yes, because stalking is so fucking romantic.” Ryan laughed, though he lifted his glass with an appreciative nod.

“How about this?” Ormenus offered out the bouquet of beef jerky.

“Wow.” Ryan stared in awe. “That’s probably the greatest thing I’ve ever seen.”

“Thought you might like it.” Ormenus chuckled, patting Ryan’s leg.

“Thank you.” Ryan swallowed hard. “I’m really sorry about missing our date. I will make it up to you, I promise.”

“Oh, I know you will. Many times in many positions.” Ormenus glanced over his body with a smirk. “But in the meantime, why don’t we have a chat about what happened to your pretty face?”

“I got in a fight on my way home,” Ryan replied casually. “Someone tried to jack my new car. You should see the other guy.”

“I’m very glad you’re all right. I was… concerned.” Ormenus gently cupped Ryan’s chin and pressed a deep kiss to his lips.

Ryan instinctively flinched, expecting pain because of his split lip. Oddly enough, there was none. He let Ormenus kiss him and he leaned forward, slinking into Ormenus’s lap. Nothing actually hurt at all right now, and he was touched that Ormenus had been worried about him. “You really came looking for me, huh?”

“Of course, I did.” Ormenus bumped their noses together. “I was very upset. This dick isn’t going to suck itself, you know.” He winked.

Ryan snorted. “Can we, uh… go somewhere else?”

“Of course.” Ormenus caressed Ryan’s cheek. “I’m in no rush. We should probably make sure the little urchin is in bed, hmm?”

“Right. Heh.” Ryan nodded and tried to get out of bed. “Just give me a second and I can?—”

“Darling,” Ormenus soothed. “I’m in no rush.” He urged Ryan back into his lap and kissed his cheek. “Good things are definitely worth waiting for.”

Ryan blushed, surprised by both Ormenus’s affection and patience. “Oh. O-okay. Well, you’re a very good thing.”

“So are you.” Ormenus’s lips brushed over Ryan’s ear as he whispered, “And as soon as we can be alone, I’m going to take you somewhere and fuck all your troubles away. How’s that sound?”

“Perfect.” Ryan kissed him.

There was a very familiar giggle.

Ryan smirked, turning to spy Bonnie peeking around the corner at them. “Hi, Bonnie.”

Bonnie grinned and tried to duck back out of sight.
