“You okay, bro?” Bowie asks. “You look like you’re gonna hurl.”

“Ew. Face the wall if you’re gonna hurl,” Marley chimes in.

“Or the trashcan,” Lennon adds.

“You guys suck. I’m fine.”

I love my siblings, but the downfall to us being so close? We know each other too well. Last night they all came to the show with me. They said they enjoyed it on Friday night, so they wanted to go Saturday night too.

“I know why you look like that. It’s because Quinn is here tonight.” Presley smiles.

I turn my back to them and take a peek out into the audience. I spot Quinn and her friends right away. Every time I see her, she gets more beautiful. As I’m staring at her, I see her spot me and she gives me a little wave. I blow a kiss at her.

“In case you didn’t know, Twisted Bonds also has their own brewery, it’s called Twisted Brewery. And for tonight, we’re offering their top three ales half off! We have a strawberry ale, honey ale and cherry ale. Come on up and get yours before the show starts!” the club emcee announces to everyone.

I love hearing the clubs promote our beer. My dad never wanted to stop playing music. But his body just couldn’t do it anymore. I know it killed him to stop. So my mom suggested they find something to do together. And that’s how the brewery came about. And it’s given my parents a new passion in life.

“I want to try their beer. Anyone else up for it?” I ask.

Everyone nods.

“I’ll come with you,” Isabella says as she gets up. “Maybe we can get a pitcher of each flavor. That way everyone can try some.”

“That’s a great idea.”

It takes a few minutes to get the attention of the bartender and order the three pitchers of beer. They smell really good, just like the fruits that are in them. I can’t wait to try them.

I’m really excited to hear Jagger and his band play. He’s all I can think about since I met him on Friday. Him and his pale-green eyes. The feeling he gives me when he touches me. It’s nothing I’ve ever felt with anyone before and it’s scary and exhilarating all at once.

I look and see Jagger looking at me from a doorway. I smile and wave at him as he blows me a kiss.

“Okay, are you ready for Twisted Bonds? I know I am! Ladies and gentlemen! Twisted Bonddddddssss!”

The whole club erupts in cheers for the band. I can hear girls screaming Jagger and his brothers’ names. I don’t like hearing them screaming his name.

“You’re frowning,” Luciana whispers to me.

“Am not,” I say as I stick my tongue out at her.

As I look around, I see women holding signs up. One is even asking Jagger to marry her, and she is gorgeous. I hate having insecurities, seeing women like that makes me wonder if he’s taken some of them home. Is that my competition? I’m not skinny like her, I have curves and a little more weight on me than I should. Most days I feel cute, but days like this when I see women like her? Well it puts a little chink in my curvy armor. She even knows the words to their songs. Ugh.

I tear my eyes away from her and focus on Jagger. When I look over to the stage, he’s watching me. Maybe I am that lucky this time. Maybe he does truly want me.

“So this next song I know some of you will know. It was written by our dad for our mom. He had his band play it for her right before he proposed to her. Because of that, it’s always been a really special song for us,” Presley explains as the rest of the band starts playing the most beautiful melody.

It’s a song about finding the one person that makes your life complete. That without searching, he found her and knew in that moment that she was his future. It’s like Jagger’s dad wrote this for us. Or for me. This is exactly how I feel about Jagger. During the whole song, our eyes are locked on each other. God he’s sexy.

“Okay, time for us to take a break. But we’ll be back in a bit,” Presley says to the crowd.

I watch them set their instruments down as they head to our table. I see that same woman grab Jagger’s arm and stop him. He frowns but still stops to talk to her, then shakes his head and walks away.

Jagger

As we get off the stage for our break, I see the one person I don’t want to see. My ex, Cassandra. We broke up a year ago. I came home from doing a short tour and brewery run to find her in bed with one of her professors. I never even suspected that she was cheating on me.

“What do you want?” I snap at her as she grabs my arm.
