I backed up and whipped my head around to check on him. Taking his face in my hands, I prayed I hadn’t given him a concussion. “I’m sorry, babe. Did I hurt you?”

I ran my fingers through his hair and over his head where I’d inadvertently slammed him into the wall, but found no lumps forming on his skull.

“I’m fine, but...”

“Babe? I thought you hated him?” my nudist of a roommate asked from behind me.

“I thought you hated the Commander,” I replied, not looking at him. “But here you are, naked and oiled up like some kind of Turkish Oil wrestling competitor.”

Dreamboat laughed. “Yeah, I don’t wanna talk about it.”

I looked over my shoulder at him, but kept my hands on Greer. “I don’t understand you sometimes. Why don’t you just admit you like him and fuck each other’s brains out like normal people?”

A rumbling chuckle came from the other side of the sofa. “That’s what I said. But he has to play these dumbass games.”

I shook my head at how much denial my friend lived in. But it suddenly occurred to me, I’d done the same thing. Greer rubbed my back soothingly, but laughed. I wanted to get the fuck out of here and let them do whatever they were doing.

I turned and looked at him pleadingly. “Can we just go home and come back tomorrow?”

Dreamboat snorted. “You are home, dummy. Did you hit your head?”

I sighed as Greer curled his lips in, trying to curb a smile. He raised his brows and nodded his head toward the wrestlers. No time like the present.

I turned and looked at my half-naked friend, who was using a pillow to hide his junk. “No, asshole. We got married. And by the way, I’m moving out. Now you and Jon Cena over there can wrestle all you want.”

“Be nice,” Greer chuckled, but I didn’t feel like being nice.

Dreamboat’s eyes sprung open even wider. “Married? Are you serious?”

I held up my left hand so he could see my ring. Jewelry was not my thing, but I was never taking it off.

“Holy fuck! Congratulations, man. We need to celebrate.”

“Not with you naked! And don’t tell anyone. We want to do that. Go put some fucking clothes on.”

He snorted. “I have my fucking clothes on. I’m in my birthday suit.”

The Commander chuckled, “God damn. I don’t know why I like you.”

“Yes, you do. It’s because of my...”

“Get the fuck out of here!” I yelled.

I turned and looked at Greer, who simply burst out laughing. And after all this, that alone made me smile.

I took his hand and led him toward my room, where I pulled out my larger duffle bag. Greer looked around while I opened my drawers and pulled out as much as I could get into it.

“Do you own this place?”

I shook my head. “Nah, it’s Simon Taylor’s place. He leases it to EHM for us. It was really convenient when the three of us moved here. But Phantom lives with Adam, and now I’ll be living with you, so I guess Dreamboat and the next hire will live here.”

Greer turned to look at me. “Wouldn’t that be the Commander?”

I stopped and looked at him. “I guess it would. That ought to be eventful.”

He turned and sat down on my bed, rubbing his hand across the cotton duvet. “Do you have personal things you could bring?”

I tilted my head and looked at him. “What kind of personal things?”
