His cheeks flushed as he looked at me with bright eyes. “You know. Toys and stuff.”

My mouth hung open. “Greer Rowan. Are you asking me if I have sex toys to use on you?”

I expected him to deny it, but my man stood his ground. “Yeah, I guess I am. That horn was interesting. Could be fun.”

Laughter bubbled up out of my chest. “You never fail to surprise me. Is that what I get to look forward to in this marriage?” I asked, zipping up the bag.

Greer stood and pushed me back until my back was pressed to the door. He slammed his mouth down on mine, making me weak in the knees. When he pulled back from me, he rested his forehead on mine as I held him to me. “You get to look forward to a life of me worshipping you at every opportunity. Endless kisses, traveling the world, weeks at our home in Costa Rica, and anything else your heart desires.”

“You’re all my heart desires,” I said, kissing him.

We were dragged back into reality when our heartfelt love-fest was interrupted by the fucker on the other side of the door.

“Awww,” he crooned from outside my door. “You two are so fucking sweet. Did you hear them?”

The deep chuckle told me he wasn’t alone. “You’re such an asshole.”

“Dare loves me. Right buddy?” he asked through the door.

“Not so much right now. What the fuck do you want?”

He laughed. “I don’t want anything, but your brother has been blowing up my phone trying to get in touch with you. You might want to call him.”

Concern prickled up my spine. “Did he say what he wanted?”

Greer stepped back so we could both pull out our phones to check for missed calls. If Carter couldn’t get me, and it was urgent, I knew he’d call Greer.

“He said it was something with a business proposal.”

I glanced at my husband, who shook his head. “Nothing on my phone.”

I sighed out a breath of relief. “Yeah, okay. I’ll call him tomorrow.”

“Okay. We’re heading to get some dinner. You two want to join us?”

Greer smiled and shrugged. I never realized how amenable he was.

“No,” I called out. “We’re going home. Next time.”

“Alright. We’ll talk tomorrow. Later Greer,” he called.

“Goodnight, gentlemen,” he replied, then stepped back into my waiting arms. “What do you think Carter wants?”

“I don’t know. Probably to tell me about his NHL thing. But it’ll wait until tomorrow. He’s gonna ask a million questions and I’m just not ready to waste our first night back answering them.”

He smiled and nodded. “Do you want me to tell him about us?”

He shrugged. “Maybe we should fly to Chicago and tell him together.”

Greer smiled, then kissed me lightly on the lips. “Then let’s go home, sweetheart.”

I could get used to hearing that too.

CHAPTER 33

GREER

“Welcome home, love.” I stepped aside to let him enter our home from the private elevator.
