Patrick stared at me in confusion. “I don’t know what that means. Wait, do frogs have hair? They don’t, do they?”

My face hurt from laughing. We hadn’t done much of this in the last six weeks. “It means you look really good. And, no, they don’t.”

Patrick grabbed a protein shake and shut the fridge door. He shook up the bottle and sauntered over to me with an exaggerated gait. Plopping the bottle down in front of me, I picked it up to open it for him like a toddler. He took it from my hand and tipped his head back to drink it down. His throat was so sexy, and when he finished, he slammed it down on the bar like it was shot glass as he locked his eyes on mine. I could see the humor building in them.

“You getting an eyeful of me, Bradley?” He ran his hand down his bare chest.

“Uh-huh,” I replied, grinning up at him.

Patrick reached down and gripped my chin, then placed a wet, chocolate-flavored kiss on my lips. “How ‘bout you join me in the shower so I can fill your sexy-as-fuck mouth with my cock?”

I looked up into his warm, humorous brown eyes as he took my hand. “I don’t know what part of your head you hit to bring out this side of you, but please don’t fix it. I’m loving this bold Patrick.”

“Well, Bradley, your wish is my command,” he said, pulling me toward the bathroom.

I loved this life with him.

An hour and two blowjobs later, we were showered and dressed, ready to see Aidan. I climbed into the driver’s seat of his Range Rover, but he stood beside the door.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. But I wanna drive.”

Patrick blinked at me, waiting for me to get out of his seat.

“You can’t drive yet, can you?”

“I’m right-handed and we’re going three blocks. Just let me try. If it feels weird, you can take over.”

I was a little surprised, but I knew he needed to get back behind the wheel. So I got out of his seat and waited for him to sit. “Let me get your seatbelt.”

“I don’t think I need one.”

Cutting my eyes to his, he started laughing. “I’m kidding. Lighten up, Bradley. It’s gonna be a great day.”

“What is it with you calling me Bradley all of a sudden?” I asked as I locked his seatbelt in place.

“Would you rather I call you Josephus?”

“You can fuck right off with that shit!” I shut his door a little harder than I might have before he called me by my foul middle name. Walking around the front of the car, I gave him the bird as I rounded the car to climb into the passenger side. Patrick just laughed at me.

I looked at him as he met my eyes. He was so handsome and kind, even when he was teasing me.

“You mad, bro?” he asked, his tone laced with humor.

“What the fuck is up with you today? Who are you, and what did you do with my boyfriend?”

Patrick curled his right hand around my neck and I went willingly for the kiss he was going to give me. My tongue met his, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else in the world.

He ended our kiss but placed a sweet one on my forehead. “I’m just happy to be alive. And after yesterday, I’m ready for us to live our life together.”

I sighed and kissed his dimple. “That’s what I want too.”

Patrick leaned back and went to start the car. “Then let’s go get this future started.”

“You’re so cheesy.” I bit my lip as the engine purred to life with ease and opened the garage door. Slipping the gearshift into Reverse, he backed the Rover out and easily turned us around to head out of the driveway.

“You seem pretty comfortable driving again.”
