“It’s just after 8 a.m.”
“So where is Kiro now?”
“He’s in his room.”
“I wonder how he is going to introduce you when you meet his parents,” said Madison. Emma raised her eyebrows. She hadn’t thought of that and now that Madison had mentioned it, she was thinking about it. Obviously his parents were going to ask him who she was.
She wondered if Kiro would introduce her as his receptionist or as his girlfriend. Would his parents accept her? That worried Emma since she knew that his mother was looking for a wife for him.
“I guess he would just say that I am his employee and I’m here to assist with business,” said Emma.
“Would you be okay with that kind of introduction?” Madison questioned. Emma sighed.
“I only just told my mom about him yesterday.”
“You did? What did she say?”
“She didn’t like the idea of me dating my boss but she said that she won’t tell me what to do. She also told me to look after myself and be careful.”
“On a scale of one to ten, how much do you like him?”
Emma giggled before she responded. The more she spent time with him, the more she liked him. She now liked him more than she did the day before because of their conversation and flirting on the jet. He had called her beautiful and said that she was different from all the other women that he had ever been with.
“I would say six and a half,” Emma replied.
“Liar,” Madison retorted. Emma burst into laughter.
“Okay, seven.”
“Emma, I know you well.”
“Okay, nine,” Emma admitted. “I really like him. I tried holding myself back for so many reasons but you can’t stop yourself from falling for someone.”
“You are officially in love,” Madison stated. Emma crossed her eyebrows. Was she in love? she asked herself. She didn’t know what love felt like. She had never been in love with anyone.
“It’s too soon to be in love,” she said.
“Love doesn’t have a timeline. It’s different for everyone. Besides, you and Kiro have been through a lot in the past five weeks. Most people don’t even go through that in six months.”
“You are right and that makes me nervous.”
“Why?”
“What if he doesn’t fall in love with me? What if his mother finds someone for him and then he goes off and gets married?”
Madison sighed. “Love isn’t easy nor is it straightforward. You just have to take a risk. If you give up on him now, you will have regrets,” she said.
Emma sighed. She knew that Madison was right. If she gave up and decided to move on from Kiro, she was going to regret it.

Kiro
In the evening, Kiro headed to the dining room to have dinner with his parents. He figured it was the best time to update them on how the business was progressing in Dallas and also tell them about Emma. He still wasn’t sure what exactly he was going to say about Emma but he knew that he needed to tell them about her.
When Kiro walked into the dining room, he found his parents sitting at the table with an unfamiliar woman. She immediately rose to her feet when she saw Kiro. She bowed her head to him.
“This is Zara. She is Sheikh Omari’s eldest daughter,” said the queen.
