“And I don’t remember you being this tempting.”

Before I spill my next statement, Jeppe returns to the table sounding like he’s out of breath and steals my focus away from Felicia.

“He’s very upset,” he says. “I damn near had to chase him down for three blocks. I feel bad that I even brought this up now.”

"Don't feel bad, Jep. Kyle will be fine," I say. "I'll have to talk with him tonight. I can assure you our problems have stemming from a lot more than just this evening."

Chapter Five - Felicia

I've been thinking about the kiss Marc placed on my hand since dinner. It was so sweet and full of passion. Even though he tried his best to hide that part of it, it didn’t stop me from getting aroused.

While waiting in his office for him to show up for the interview this morning, I’m starting to wonder if what I'm wearing is too revealing. I doubt it is. From the way he looked at me during dinner, I'm willing to bet he’ll devour me the same way he did his steak.

His office is gorgeous, large and fixed up the way a manly man would decorate. Although Marc is a man who likes to dress nice and smell even better, he’s a manly man. His oversized hands give it away right off the bat.

I can hear him coming up the hall now and my nipples harden against my bra. His voice alone turns me on. It's crazy, I've never felt like this before. Not even with Sean and I was madly in love with him.

“You’re early,” he says as he enters. “I thought I'd have a few minutes to freshen up before you got here.”

“Freshen up?” I chuckle. “You’re always fresh.”

His eyes are locked on me the entire way in. When he makes it to the chair that I'm sitting in, he reaches out for my hand. I place it in his like the perfect little lady, and he helps me to my feet to embrace me.

“Good morning,” he says, his breath warm against my neck. “How are you?”

“I’m fine,” I say. “Better now that I'm finally here.”

He takes a seat behind his desk, and I take my seat in front. Before he gets started with the interview, he takes a moment to admire my outfit. It's a nice pants suit that’s the right amount of revealing in all the right places. I worried the women here would judge me for being too seductive, but they all seem to have the same idea.

“Marketing specialist, huh?” he asks. “I’ve been going over your resume and credentials. Very impressive. What made you take this avenue?”

“I don’t know,” I say. “I’ve always liked to organize things and I've always been good with campaigning and setting up events. I thought I'd become an event planner someday, but it turns out I'm better at drawing a crowd than anything.”

“Maybe it’s because you’re so beautiful.”

His compliment makes me blush. It goes well with the way his eyes are trailing my body and the way he licks his lips when he stops at my breasts. I pull my shoulders back to give him a better view and when he notices what we’re both doing, he quickly turns his focus back to my resume.

“You’ve got a great amount of experience under your belt. How do you think you can incorporate what you’ve already done into a business like this? We sell luxury cars, not hair products and makeup.”

“Luxury shouldn't be hard to sell,” I say. “As long as I can reach the market that has the money for it, I can get them to spend. And like you said, men do love a beautiful woman. Even women love beautiful women.”

My tone is unwillingly flirty. For some reason, Marc brings that out of me. I feel so comfortable with him already; like we've had this level of attraction our entire lives. When I came to New York, I didn’t expect to be so attracted to any man. But I can’t deny Marc.

“I believe you can sell anything,” he says. “You have the gift of gab and the looks to match. Should I give you a tour of the department and you tell me what you think?”

“Sure. I'm down for a tour. I haven’t had the pleasure of getting the inside scoop of a luxury car dealership. I don't even think I've ever been to a dealership as fancy as this one.”

He stuffs my resume into his desk drawer and comes around to retrieve me. Like the perfect gentleman, he reaches for my hand to help me to my feet again, then lets me walk ahead of him to lead the way. I can feel his eyes on my ass. I don’t mind it. I even swish a little harder than normal to leave him something to wonder about it.

We take a long hall and arrive at an elevator. It's trimmed in gold and exceptionally clean on the inside. Even the buttons have gold encasings. The music inside is subtle and comforting, just like Marc. Even though he’s as large as he is, he’s very gentle.

“After you,” he says, when the door chimes and opens for us to exit.

We get off on the floor at the very top. It's so high up I can almost feel the building swaying with the wind. There are several cubicles in the middle of the room, and one large receptionist desk near an extra-large conference room. The floor is beautiful. It reminds me of a hall I visited in Milan.

“This is where everything marketing goes down,” he says. “Everyone on this floor is in a high stakes position. I set it up this way so no one could get close to what we’ve planned, what kind of cars we’re going to sell next, or what style of events we’ll have. It's very secretive. No one gets up here without being an employee. So, consider yourself worthy.”

“Interesting,” I flirt. “I take it you already trust me.”
