I can’t believe how much she’s grown. I keep saying that because the wow factor is absolutely stunning. I can see more of her breasts now that she isn't wearing anything to cover them, I can also see more of the interest she has in me.

“Marc says you two talked about the interview briefly,” Jeppe says.

I didn’t want to bring up the topic so soon, because of Kyle being here, but Jeppe isn’t going to let it go unnoticed. I know he’s excited to have Felicia back home and wants to help her get her feet off the ground again, so I don’t stray. Besides, I'd love to get her feet off the ground myself.

“Yeah,” she says. “I told him I'd love to hear more about what it entails before I make a solid decision.”

Kyle is perched in his chair like a bird hawking its prey. He's been the only marketer I've used for a while now, but the minute his numbers started to slip, I started looking into different avenues.

“Of course,” I chime in. “We can set up an interview for Monday morning and if all goes well and you like the requirement for the job, all should be well.”

“Wait a minute.” Kyle finally catches on. “Are you talking about the job as marketing specialist for the dealership? I thought I was working my way into that position.”

Here we go, I sigh. It’s hard for me to tell my son he hasn’t been doing great at working his way there. Even with the hands-on training I set up for him, he just isn’t catching the drift as well as I need him to. I need someone who’s self-sufficient and takes the initiative without having to be told what to do. Felicia already has the experience, while Kyle is just learning.

“That’s what I wanted to talk to you about, son,” I say. “The numbers have fallen behind a little and I want to get someone in the position permanently before they get any lower. You do very well as lead sales rep. That might just be the perfect position for you.”

“Dad,” he scoffs. “The reason I got the new office is because I'm supposed to be taking over the marketing department. Now you bring me to dinner to tell me you're going to hire someone else for the job?”

Both Jeppe and Felicia look confused. I feel like I'm on an episode of Cheaters and Kyle has just found out that I've been going around behind his back. It's not a position to be in for me and regardless of if he’s my son or not, business is business.

“I’m sorry,” Felicia says. “I don’t want to step on anyone's toes or cause any problems here.”

“No, it’s fine,” I say. “I haven't made any final decisions about the position just yet. I understand how Kyle might be confused by all of this, but I still have a business to uphold. Kyle hasn’t shown that he takes the job seriously enough despite the time I've given him to improve. I think it’s time to look up different avenues.”

“I’ve done all the training and everything asked of me,” Kyle says. “I understand this is your company and you run it the way you want, but this is absurd. You could have told me this beforehand, instead of bringing me here with my replacement.”

I knew he’d take it this way. I didn’t mean for it to come off so forcefully or unexpectedly; I thought he’d be understanding and own up to the fact that he hasn’t been able to keep up with the position.

“You know what,” he smirks and nods like he’s starting to understand. “It’s cool. If I had my own company, I'd want nothing but the best too.”

Before I even see it coming, Kyle pushes away from the table so hard he nearly knocks over our drinks. He's upset. I knew he would be, but I can’t continue to coddle him and allow him to straddle the fence between a serious job title and being my son.

“Kyle, wait a minute,” Jeppe calls out to him as he walks away.

“No, it’s okay,” I groan. “Let him go. I’ll deal with him when I get home tonight.”

Jeppe excuses himself and goes after Kyle anyway, leaving Felicia and I alone at the table. Sure, I care that my son is angry, but this is the perfect opportunity for me to feel out what’s been brewing between Felicia and me.

“Did you offer Kyle the job before me?” she asks; a smirk curving the corners of her lips.

“I didn’t necessarily offer him the position. He has been training for it though,” I sigh. “He hasn’t been doing as well as I hoped he would. Even though he’s my son, I can’t have someone that doesn’t know the half about marketing as head of my marketing department. That's not how business works.”

She takes another sip from her cocktail glass and nods at me. Her eyes look directly into mine as she does, and I feel myself getting harder in my slacks. She's not even doing anything significant, and I'm turned on by her. Just sitting across from her while her scent illuminates the air around me makes me want to feel her up.

“I understand,” she says. “I just don't want there to be any issues between him and I.”

“Does that mean you’re considering it?” I ask, flirting a bit.

“Maybe.” She smiles. “We can talk more Monday and if you say something I like, I might be inclined.”

I'm more positive than ever now that she’s flirting with me. I can hear it in her tone and see it in the seductive gaze she gives me. I reach my hand across the table and gently take hers into mine to seal the deal about the interview, then gently place a kiss at the tip of her fingers.

“Then it’s settled,” I say. “Monday I'll say all the things that need to be said.”

“And I'll listen to all the things that need to be said,” she says.

“I don’t remember you being this,” I pause to be sure I use the correct wording. “Alluring.”
