Beethoven

It kind of worked out that Whiskee drove herself to the meeting with Mariam because I was late. When I arrived, I went straight to where they told me Whiskee was. It didn’t register in my brain that I was going into a fitting room. Not until I pulled the curtain back and saw her in a beautiful white gown that took my breath away. It was silk, which she’d told me was her favorite fabric. The spaghetti straps drew my attention to collarbones I hadn’t been able to kiss in what felt like an eternity.

The flowy design hugged her where it should and was loose where needed, puddling at her feet.

“Wow,” I mumbled. “You look…” My head shook as I took small steps toward her. “Absolutely stunning, bae. You’re going to make such a beautiful bride.”

“Thank you.” She released a nervous chuckle as she turned and looked from herself to me behind her in the mirror. “It’s a good thing I passed on this one since you’ve seen me in it. Though I guess it doesn’t matter since it’s not a real wedding anyway. Well, it’s a real wedding. Just not a real marriage.” Whiskee huffed and smoothed the fabric against her skin. “I think I want something more… fancy. This seems too basic. Maybe I could wear this for the engagement party. What do you think?”

“That sounds perfect to me.”

Unable to resist, I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her neck, grateful she didn’t push me away. In fact, she melted against me.

“Baby,” she called softly, biting down on her bottom lip as she smiled.

“I miss my wife.”

Her eyes fluttered and closed as she turned in my embrace. “Your wife misses you too.”

I used my nose against hers to tilt her head back before kissing her deeply. My hands lowered to her ass, and the only reason I didn’t lift her into the air and slide her down on my dick was because I knew someone could walk behind this curtain just as easily as I had.

“What are we going to do?” she asked against my lips.

“We’re not going to do anything. Your brother is going to stand down, and we won’t have an issue anymore.”

“Still, Bay.” Her hands slid down my chest. “You’re going to be leaving me soon. Do you really think it’s wise for us to get even closer than we are now?”

Chuckling, I took her hands into mine and kissed them. “It’s a little too late to be thinking about that, Whiskee. I’m falling in love with you.”

Her mouth dropped as Mariam said, “Are you sure he came this way? I don’t see him.”

After giving her a quick kiss, I told her, “Let me get out here before she thinks we’re being nasty.”

Whiskee swallowed hard as she stared at me. Snapping out of her trance, she nodded as her mouth closed. I made my way back outside to the sitting area as Mariam walked through it again. Relief covered her face at the sight of me.

“There you are! I was worried you wouldn’t be able to make it. Your tuxedos are behind curtain number three.”

Following her guidance, I went to my fitting room and tried on three tuxedos that looked pretty much the same, just with small differences. By the time I was done, Whiskee was dressed and talking to the designer about some changes to her wedding dress. When we were done, I asked her if I could walk her to her car and she said yes.

“What you about to get into?” I asked.

“Mahogany and Carlos wanted to take me out tonight to celebrate me getting my cosmetology license renewed.”

Pride swelled within my heart as I pulled her into my arms. “Word, bae? That’s amazing. Congratulations. I’m so fucking proud of you.”

“Thank you so much. I feel good about it. I’m happy.”

“Good, you deserve it.”

Licking my lips, I looked down at her and resisted the urge to kiss her.

“You’re more than welcome to join us if you’d like.”

“I’d be honored.”

Releasing her, I opened the door to her red Porsche as she told me where they’d be and what time. Just before I was about to close the door, she said, “Oh, Beethoven?”

“Yeah?”
