“I love you too.”

Work was indeed more stressful somehow without the Queen there. Julia was covering everything and trying not to bother Alexandra and Erin as they enjoyed something like a holiday.

Julia’s morning had been frustrating and not productive. She needed to unwind, she needed to chill out.

She picked up her phone. “Riley. I’ll be working from the castle this afternoon. Have my driver informed to be ready outside in ten minutes.”

“No problem, Ms. Wilding. I’ll take care of it.”

When her car pulled up at the castle, Julia could see Vic on the grass playing with the dogs. She was running and they were chasing her. She was throwing balls. Julia sat for a minute and smiled, just watching her.

I think I am falling in love with this woman.

The driver had opened the car door for Julia and was waiting for her. She got out and walked to the grass before kicking off her heels and running across the beautiful lawns to Vic and the dogs in her bare feet. The cool of the grass on her feet felt like freedom itself.

Vic looked across to her and her face lit up. She ran to meet Julia and embraced her, kissing her deeply.

“Sorry I’m so early,” Julia said, looking into Vic’s happy eyes. They were getting less and less careful about who saw them together. Vic knew for a fact all of the castle staff knew she had been sleeping there every night and they weren’t stupid.

“I’m so happy you are here!” Vic smiled and the dogs bounced around enthusiastically. Julia leant down to greet them.

“Where’s Hyzenthlay?”

“She’s gone out for the afternoon with Olivia to the park. I was supposed to be teaching a riding lesson, but the client has cancelled. So, lucky for you, I am very available this afternoon.”

Julia smiled. She felt excited in a way that she hadn’t for years.

“Are you walking the dogs? It’s a nice day, we could go out round the estate.”

“In your bare feet? You’ll hurt them.”

“Not if we stick to the grass. It feels good on my feet, honestly. Let’s just go now. I feel so free from the office and free from my responsibilities.”

“You’ve still got that sexy office look going on, though, even without the heels.” Vic smiled and looked at her hungrily, and Julia felt that now familiar bolt of desire rushing through her and pooling between her legs.

They walked hand in hand across the grass heading down towards the river. Julia knew they would soon be out of eyesight from the castle.

The dogs ran along happily beside them.

“I’ve got no underwear on,” she whispered to Vic, and Vic looked momentarily surprised and then surprise was replaced by an excited smile on her face.

“Well, in that case, Ms. Wilding, I think we should find a quiet spot near the river and take advantage of that.”

Julia felt heat rushing through her. She felt more alive than perhaps she ever had, and she squeezed Vic’s hand tighter.

Vic knew the castle grounds well, and she led Julia to a little area where the grassy bank dipped down to a secluded part by the river.

Julia looked around and could see nobody in any direction she looked. They were alone.

“A pencil skirt is a fucking impractical item for spontaneous sex, you know?” Vic reached around Julia’s hips to undo the zip of her skirt. “You sure this is what you want?”

Julia nodded and wriggled the skirt down off her hips so it fell to the floor. She felt powerful and free as she stood there with nothing on her bottom half suddenly. She began to unbutton her blouse. Vic looked as though her eyes were about to pop out of her head and Julia always enjoyed this when she took her clothes off. Every time, still, Vic looked at her as though she was the most beautiful and sexy woman in the world and Julia hoped in that moment that this was her forever, to always be this loved, desired and cared for.

Vic helped her down to the grass and within seconds was on top of her, kissing her.

“Fuck, I’ve missed you,” Vic whispered in her ear, and Julia felt shivers run right through her body. Vic smelt slightly sweaty, like she always did when she had been riding, and it just turned Julia on. Vic’s hair fell around her face as usual, escaping from the band it was supposed to be in. Julia could see the sky. All of the sky; it was blue with fluffy white clouds. The sun was bright and blinding. She opened her legs and felt Vic’s hand already insistently pressing against her.

“Please,” Julia gasped. “Fuck me.”
