“I want to thank everyone for coming. This company means so much to me. It’s a place to get away, have a get together with a friend, or even bring a date. I want everyone to enjoy yourselves. Beers are on me tonight.”

Everyone cheered and clapped and started mingling with each other again.

Jameson reached out his hand for mine to hold. We clasped our fingers together and smiled. I couldn’t believe this was my life now. Everyday life with Jameson was surreal. We enjoyed seeing each other and working with each other every day. We never got sick of each other.

Jameson’s mom approached us. “Jameson, I couldn’t be prouder of you.”

He leaned to half hug her since he was still holding Brynlynn.

“Thank mom. It means a lot to have your support.”

I smiled wide, watching Jameson and his mother as they had a closer and better relationship.

“Are you still coming over for Sunday dinner?”

He smiled again. “We’ll be there.” He looked at me, and I nodded in response.

“Okay.” She looked at her watch. “It’s almost my bedtime. I’ll see you later.”

“Drive safe,” I said after she hugged me and kissed Bryn’s cheek.

Kali came up to us and immediately reached for Brynlynn. “How’s my little god-daughter?”

“Spoiled as ever,” I said with a laugh.

“She’s just loved by everyone. How are you?” She asked.

“Good. Life couldn’t be better. A year ago, I would have never pictured this as my life.”

“I’m happy for you guys.”

“We appreciate your support,” Jameson told her.

“This place is amazing.”

“Thank you.”

“Excuse me. It was good seeing you again, Kal,” Jameson said as he went to talk to someone.

“Have you set a date for the wedding yet?”

Jameson had proposed to me when we arrived home from me delivering our daughter.

“Not yet. We aren’t in a rush. But who knows, could be tomorrow or three months from now.”

We laughed because we both knew how spontaneous Jameson was, and you never knew what was up his sleeve.

“How’s work?” I asked.

She smiled. “Busy as ever. And on a personal note, I started seeing someone.”

“Kali, that’s amazing. We should do a double date soon.”

“We will. Well, I’m going to head out, I have an early morning ahead of me.”

She handed Brynlynn to me and leaned in to hug me.

“We’ll get together soon,” I assured her.’
