“I’m Chris.” He reached out to shake mine.

“It’s nice to meet you.” I looked to Jameson. “How do you two know each other?”

“I was an intern at Titan Enterprises when I was just eighteen years old,” Chris told me.

“Oh, okay. Well, you have a lovely home here. I’m in awe of it.”

He smiled. “Come on, I’ll show you around.”

Jameson reached over and clasped my hand in his, this gesture made me feel safe. When I looked up at him, he winked at me.

As we walked around, I looked around in astonishment. Loving the high ceiling and the large wall-height windows. Granted, I was no stranger to working with rich and famous people, but this house was a statement for sure.

“This house is over sixteen thousand square feet, on a little over five acres of land. If you look out, I have five hundred and twenty-five feet of the lakefront.”

“I’ve seen my share of huge houses, but this, wow. I’ve been in one this big. I just can’t fathom it. But I guess when you’re rich, you can afford just about anything.” I grinned, looking up at him. Chris was poised and very handsome. Chris’s beard and mustache was short, closer to the skin, resembling a three-day-old beard. He had sandy blonde hair and green eyes, and he was in shape. It was noticeable he took care of himself. But I didn’t see a woman around, I didn’t know if he was married or not.

We entered the bathroom, and I was in awe. The jacuzzi tub had large pillars on each side of it. “I could live in here.”

“Come on, there’s more.”

We walked back to the living space, and I watched as Chris retracted the doors revealing a large deck that had a fireplace, and a huge bar area, with outdoor furniture. When I looked over the edge, I was looking at the lake below.

“I’m going to stay in the guest house,” Chris mentioned.

“Guest house?”

Chris laughed and motioned for me to follow him. “That’s the cable lift that takes you all the way to the guest house.”

“You have a cable lift?”

“Yeah.” He chuckled at my amazement. “I’d like to extend a dinner invitation this tomorrow evening if you both are up to it.”

I looked at Jameson for him to answer, and when he looked at me, he told Chris, “We’d love to.”

“Great. I’ll let you both get settled in. And see you at eight tomorrow night. I’ll have my chefs cook something here. Have a good night.”

“Night. It was nice meeting you.”

“You too, Brielle. Jameson.” He smiled and walked toward the kitchen.

“How about we shower and get into something comfortable?” he asked, breaking the silence.

“Sounds great. I’m dying to get out of this dress.”

“Is Chris married?”

Jameson laughed. “You know how you think I’m a man whore?” He didn’t wait for my answer when he said, “Chris is three times worse than me. Honestly, I’m surprised he doesn’t have three women here.”

“Damn.”

“I’m not like that anymore though.”

I followed as he led the way back to the bathroom because there was no way I could memorize where everything was, that would take a couple of times of walking around.

Inside the bathroom, Jameson’s fingertips grazed the straps of my dress, and they fell to my elbows. Unzipping the side, I let it fall in a heap. I helped Jameson out of his dress clothes. It was funny we were still dressed for the gala.

Jameson moved to get the shower going. When he turned a knob, the color changed to a reddish hue, and I noticed the etching on the glass windows were glow in the dark which was crazy looking. Guess you will never need a nightlight to find your way around.
