Gunner covered the mare, and her breath caught in her throat. “Damn.”

He couldn’t take it anymore. Kellan tugged her jeans down to her knees and thrust two fingers up inside her. Arien let go of the fence. Head tipped back onto his shoulder, whimpering, while he sawed in and out of her pussy.

“Just imagine my cock inside you, little sister.” He turned her around.

The look on her face told him everything he needed to know.

“Yeah, you love hearin’ that. Gets you off, don’t it? Just thinkin’ of your brothers breedin’ you.”

“Yes. Fuck.”

He rubbed her clit. He needed her to relax. For her pussy to open. She was just so tiny inside, and he wanted, he needed, to get another finger up in her.

“Yeah, take another one for me. That’s my good girl,” he praised her, three fingers wedged in to the second knuckle.

Moaning and whimpering, Kellan knew he was hurting her, as much as he could tell she liked that it did. So perfect.

“I know, baby, it hurts a little bit, but it feels so fucking good, don’t it?”

“Fuck, Kel, please.”

“Know what gets me off?” He pushed in to the hilt. “Hearin’ you scream.”

And fucking her fiercely with his fingers, he swallowed her cries.

“I know what you need, and you know I’ll always take care of you, don’t you?”

Because I fucking love you, dammit.

Mascara running down her face, she nodded.

“Stay.”

Kellan stood beneath her bedroom window. Snow had fallen during the night. Pristine and pure and white, he shuffled through it with his boots. Back and forth. Over and over. He took a step back, and satisfied with his efforts, glanced up to where she still slept.

I U.

He turned away and smiled.

She missed them.

And it surprised her just how much.

Every morning when Arien woke up, Kellan and Tanner were already gone, and they didn’t come home until long after she’d fallen asleep. Her stepfather too. Since calving season started, she almost never saw them at all, leaving her and her mother in the house on their own.

Just the two of them.

Same as it ever was.

Not that she didn’t appreciate spending time alone with Mom. She did. Arien loved Jennifer like no other person in this world—traded Denver for Wyoming just for her, didn’t she? Because after all the years of struggling on her own to make a good life for them, her mom deserved to share the rest of them with a man who loved her.

Thinking back, she couldn’t remember her mother ever having a boyfriend until Matthew came along. If she dated at all, Arien wasn’t aware of it. Jennifer worked a lot—she had to in order to pay the bills. That left Arien to take care of herself most of the time. She didn’t realize what a toll that had taken, until she didn’t have to anymore.

Arien had people—a real family who cared for her now. She had a dad who told her he loved her. God, hearing Matthew say that made her heart sing. She never thought she’d missed out on much, never understood why a girl’s first love is her father, until she got one. And she loved him something fierce. Would do anything he asked of her. Same as she would for Mom.

She loved her brothers too. More than that, Arien was in love with them. Both of them. And she had no qualms admitting that to herself. Though neither of them had ever come out and said it, one morning she woke to see “I U” written in the snow outside her bedroom window. She didn’t know who wrote it. Whether Kellan or Tanner, it didn’t matter. She knew both brothers were in love with her, too.

And sweet fuck, did she want them. Arien thought she understood it now. Savannah Mason must’ve understood it, too. Why else would she have risked it all for a fleeting moment in the girls’ bathroom?
