“So Jesse let me in and I snuck into his room like a fucking teenager. Actually, that made it all the more exciting. We thought we could be quiet. Have you ever heard two men fuck, little bird?”

“Um, no.”

“Of course you haven’t, but you will, and there’s nothing quiet about it.” Jesse heard Taylor inhale. The exhale was silent. “Anyway, we tried. I had Jess bent over a chair when Tom walked in. He didn’t say a word. He just turned around and quietly closed the door.”

The air around him seemed to still and Jesse waited for Chloe to recoil from him. She didn’t. She took his hand and squeezed it.

“We all know it isn’t true, but Jesse believes his father killed himself because…because of what he saw.”

Jesse looked up and spoke then. “Because he thought I was gay.”

“You aren’t gay, but so what if you were?” Taylor set Chloe’s feet to the deck.

“Gay, bi—it doesn’t matter what you call it. He saw me taking a dick in my ass and that I liked it.” Jesse turned to Chloe and placed his hands on her shoulders. “I just wish I could have told him. That he didn’t find out like that, you know? In the space of a week I lost Bethany, my dad, and my mom…she was never the same after that. Right after I graduated she left for Ireland and I went to Baltimore. So, yeah.”

“I’m so sorry about your dad, Jesse.” She leaned in to touch her lips to his. “But Taylor is right. You can’t know what he was thinking and you shouldn’t blame yourself.”

“Look, I’m okay now. I’m not ashamed of who I am or who I love, and I don’t want us to be a dirty little secret.” He looked at Taylor. “The family I have left supports my choices, but Taylor has parents.”

Taylor waved his hand in the air with a shimmy of his head. “There’s been photographic evidence of my debauchery on the internet for years. Have you googled me? Heh. I think they already know.”

Chloe gave him the side-eye. “Yes, I have actually.”

“What?” Taylor turned to Chloe with a raised brow. “You googled me?”

C’mon Tay, are you really that surprised?

“What about your dad, Chloe?” Jesse asked.

“He travels a lot.” She shrugged. “We aren’t very close. I don’t think he cares.”

“Well, I care, Riosin.” He hooked an arm around Taylor’s neck and pulled him closer. “I love you both very much. I lost a lot, but I’ve gained a lot too.” Jesse turned his head to take Taylor’s mouth and he kissed him with all the love he felt for him. “I will never be ashamed of loving you and I want us to share that with Chloe.” Then his lips found hers, soft and sweet. “Are we going to do this? Because I love you both and at the end of the night I want the three of us to go upstairs, get in that bed, and make love until the sun comes up.”

“We’ll give it a go, Jess.” Taylor squeezed Jesse’s shoulder.

Chloe kissed his cheek and then Taylor’s. “Yes.”

Taylor clapped his hands together. “Goodie, that’s sorted.”

“Sorted? You sort laundry, Taylor.” Chloe giggled.

Taylor shook his head. “Never mind.”

“So, now what?” Chloe asked.

Taylor waggled his brows. “I vote for going upstairs. Or we can get naked here. I have an affinity for the outdoors.”

Jesse chuckled. “I’m with you, babe, we’ve just committed to be in a relationship together—the three of us.” He reached for Taylor and Chloe, rubbing them both between their legs. “I don’t want to have to use condoms anymore. I’ve never once felt flesh without latex covering my dick so I’m good, but I got tested anyway.”

“I felt a tight wet cunt on my willy once.” Taylor’s head was tilted to the side like he was trying to remember what it felt like.

Chloe burst into a fit of giggles. “Willy,” she snorted.

“It’s a dick, cherry cake.”

“I know.” She still giggled. “But who says that?”

“Becky Brinderman. Remember her?” He didn’t. “I took her to prom. We got drunk. She got pregnant. Learned my lesson.”
