I use a private room in the back to change. “Hey, Chloe, could you come in and help me zip, please?”

She gasps when she walks in. “Olivia, you look gorgeous,” she says, zipping the back of my dress. “You look amazing in red.”

“Chloe, wait—I don’t have shoes. What am I going to do?”

“Do you really think there’s a detail that was left untouched today?” she asks, grinning. “Stay here, I’ll be right back.” Chloe leaves for a minute and comes back with a pair of heels with a single strap across the toes in one hand, and in the other hand she’s carrying a gift bag that I recognize right away from Tiffany & Co.

“Oh, my gosh. Chloe…Tiffany’s? What did he do?” She smiles as she hands me the first Tiffany Blue Box. Removing the whiteribbon, I open it, taking out the black case inside to reveal a pair of diamond solitaire earrings. “Wow. They’re absolutely gorgeous.”

“Box number two,” Chloe says with a big smile as she hands me the second box.

I open the case to discover a matching diamond pendant on a delicate chain. I don’t even know what to say. “They’re so beautiful. I can’t believe he did this, Chloe.”

“I believe it,” Chloe says with a big smile. “That man is so in love with you.”

I put the earrings in while Chloe helps me with the necklace. “Well, how do I look?”

“Stunning, Liv. Ethan is going to be speechless. Come on.”

Layla has a full-length mirror waiting for me. I’m amazed at what a fantastic job she did on my hair and makeup, and the dress is just as gorgeous as I thought it would be when I saw it in the store that day.

“Look at you. Beautiful,” Layla says, smiling.

“Thank you both so much. This whole day has been amazing.”

Chloe beams with excitement. “Well, the man you love is waiting for you, so you better get going. Your limo is outside.”

“What about you? You’re not coming with me this time?”

“No, my car is parked nearby. Have a wonderful night with Ethan. I’ll get your other clothes and things to you tomorrow.”

I hug them both before walking outside to find the limo driver waiting for me.

“Good evening, Ms. Newman.” He opens the door and takes my hand to assist me inside. Some of my favorite songs are even playing in the limo, which I’m sure is no accident. The limo stops in front of Ethan’s house and the driver takes my hand to assist me out of the car. My mouth drops in surprise when I see what he’s done.

Olivia

It looks like a scene from a movie. The entire sidewalk and steps up to the front door are lined with candles, where Lance is standing in a suit waiting to let me inside.

He extends his arm to usher me into the house. “Good evening, Ms. Newman.”

“Hello, Lance.”

The pathway of candles continues into the house as well. It takes me to the doors leading out onto the deck, and waiting for me at those doors, in a suit and tie, is Nick.

He beams as I approach him. “You look beautiful.”

“I heard you’ve been in on this whole thing.” I smile, giving him a quick hug.

“Maybe,” he says with a grin. “He’s happier than I’ve ever seen him, Liv. He loves you.”

“I love him too, Nick.”

Nick nods in approval. “Good.” He smiles and leans in to kiss me on the cheek. “Now, go see your man,” he says as he opens the door for me.

I gasp when I step out onto the deck and see below. I look back at Nick, smiling in shock, as he smiles and closes the door. I follow the continuing pathway of candles down the stairs to the terrace below. There’s a table with crisp white linens lit by candles, and music is playing in the background. I close my eyes and smile as I feel large hands on my arms, and a warm kiss on my shoulder from behind. I turn into his touch, looking up into the steel blue eyes I’ve fallen for. He’s wearing a black suit with a white shirt underneath, no tie. He’s so strikingly handsome.
