“You look incredible,” he says. “Just when I think you couldn’t get any sexier, you show up looking like this.”

“Why, thank you. It seems you had a good deal to do with my appearance this evening.”

“I just provided some of the tools. You brought it all to life. Just like you bring me to life every single day.” He kisses the back of my hand.

“So very handsome,” I say, running my hands along the lapel of his jacket. “This is incredible, Ethan. I can’t believe you did all this for me. The spa, the hair and makeup, the dress, and the jewelry. It’s so much. Thank you.”

“I hope you like everything that was chosen.”

“It’s all perfect. I love every single thing.”

He smiles, running his finger along my neck, sending chills down my spine. “I like your hair like this. You know it drives me crazy when you show your neck.” He leans in to kiss me, soft and deep, then places a gentle kiss to the valley of my neck before meeting my eyes again.

“I missed you today, Ethan.”

“I missed you too, baby. I’ve spent the entire day waiting to see you, and looking forward to our evening. Let’s sit down. Dinner should be ready soon.” He leads me over to the table and pulls out my chair for me.

A waiter in a tuxedo greets us. “Good evening, Alpha Sullivan, Ms. Newman.”

“Hello, Richard,” Ethan returns the greeting.

“We have a lovely red blend that would pair nicely with this evening’s dinner. Could I bring you both a glass?” Ethan looks to me to answer first.

“That sounds nice, thank you.”

“I agree. Thank you, Richard,” Ethan says, politely dismissing him. He looks at me, grinning.

“What are you thinking?”

“I’m thinking how blessed I am to have received such an amazing woman as my mate. I intend to spend my life showing you how special you are to me.” He takes my hand from across the table. He never breaks his gaze from mine, even as Richard returns with our wine, pouring each of us a glass.

“Dinner will be out in just a moment,” Richard says with a bow of his head before leaving.

“I love you, Olivia. I want you to know how much I appreciate you. I’ll always put you first and protect you in any way I can.”

“I know you will, Ethan. I love you too.”

Richard arrives once again, with the entrée this time. The aroma is heavenly. He serves me first and then his Alpha. “Is there anything else I can get you both at the moment?” Richard checks in before leaving.

“We’re good, Richard. Thank you.” Ethan smiles, turning his attention back to me. “So, you and Chloe enjoyed your day at the spa?”

“We were so relaxed we thought someone would have to carry us out of there. Vince is one amazing masseuse.” I have to take a drink of wine to hide my smile from the little fib I just told. I can’t resist a little bit of his jealousy tonight. His glance shoots up from his food.

“Vince? Who the fuck is Vince? I specifically told them there were to be no male massage therapists.” I start giggling, and he shakes his head as he realizes what I’m doing. “Oh, I see how it is. You want to make me jealous, huh?” He smirks, his eyes narrowing.

I laugh. “I’m sorry, I’m just having a little fun with you. Please don’t be mad.”

“I guess I’m just going to have to use tonight to remind you who your man is.” He has a lustful gleam in his eyes.

“I’m a lucky girl.” I smile at him, tilting my head to the side to expose the curve of my neck.

He eyes the softness of my skin. “You have no idea how badly I want to put my mark there. I want everyone to know you’re mine.”

Richard comes back to clear our plates and offers us additional wine.

“I think we’ll be good on our own from here. Olivia and I thank you and your staff. Everything was wonderful. You can enjoy the rest of your evening now.”

“Of course, sir,” Richard responds. “I hope you both have a wonderful evening.” He smiles and bows his head before walking away.
