I stumble.

Cemetery.

I don’t know if the boys want to be buried or cremated. Ican’thave another three urns on the fireplace beside my mum. I can’t. I’m going to have to arrange their funerals. I don’t even know what happened to their bodies.

I don’t know the first thing about arranging this stuff.

Overwhelmed, I wander the grounds aimlessly. I don’t know what I’m doing, where I’m going, what I’m looking for.

Until I find it.

A light in the dark that guides me towards it like a beacon.

Through the thick of the trees, my feet carry me until I come across a clearing, a tiny stone chapel sat within the grounds of a small, ancient cemetery surrounded by a grey stone wall.

There’s a light on inside.

My hands are on the gate, pushing it open before I know what I’m doing. Before I consider the danger or the possibilities of what I might find inside, I’m halfway through the graveyard, racing towards the chapel doors.

I will meet you at the graveyard.

I freeze.

No.

The doors to the chapel slowly open and my knees hit the floor.

It’s not possible.

I sob.

“My love…princess, why are you crying?”Axel asks, concern etches his beautiful face, but there’s a ghost of a smile tugging at his lips.

“Because this isn’t real. I’m dreaming.”

“But if this were a dream, wouldn’t it be a happy one, babygirl?”Kaiden asks, stepping out from behind Axel and making me cry even harder.

“Because I don’t want to wake up.”

Gentle arms enclose me and they feelso real.

“It’s okay, Odi. We’ve got you.”

Zie holds me tightly, his strong embrace providing a sense of comfort and security that I had been desperately longing for. Kaiden and Axel join us, wrapping their arms around the both of us, completing the circle of love and protection.

The weight of my grief begins to lift ever so slightly, replaced by a glimmer of hope.

“You don’t have to wake up if you don’t want to,”Kaiden whispers softly, his voice filled with tenderness.“We’re here with you, always. But, babygirl, this is real.”

I look up at them, tears streaming down my face. Their familiar faces radiate warmth and love, even in the moonlit darkness of the cemetery. It’s as if they never left, as if their souls have found their way back to me.

“But how?” I manage to choke out between sobs.

Axel caresses my cheek gently, his touch grounding me.Is this really real? Is it possible? Can this be?

“Love knows no bounds,”he murmurs.“Our connection is stronger than anything in this world or the next. Even death couldn’t keep me from your side.”

“We couldn’t bear to see you suffer alone.”Zie leans in and kisses my forehead, his lips brushing against my skin like a whisper.“We wanted to be here for you. To hold you and wipe away your tears. We’re sorry you had to go through the last few days alone.”
